    MFW - number 11 :)

OP Target for 2014 £1500 Mortgage now £43745
  • #86 updating

In addition to the o/p of £1000 reported a few pages back on 3rd September, I have today made an additional o/p of £4779.43

That has really hammered the savings but I needed to make it to try and stay on track to try and hit my year end goal.

Just three and a half months left to try achieve a difficult but still achievable goal.

Good luck one and all x

Hi, I wonder if someone can advise. I'd like to join as I moved house in July and consequently have a bigger mortgage but a dream house. My mortgage only allows me to pay off capital on amounts greater than £2180. So that's my concern, could I join because I wouldn't as such be making regular overpayments instead I would be paying into an account and then when I get to £2180 then make the payment. See what I mean?

Feel good today, we saved money on the move by moving ourselves and I have a sofa from the auction saving money so I reduced my mortgage by 6 months by paying off £3000. It feels so good.

Yes, that's similar to what I do - I can only pay 10% without incurring fees, so I save as much as I can, declare those savings on this thread as though they are overpayments, and pay my 10% when I'm allowed to. Ultimately (NEXT MONTH!!),I'll use my overpayment savings to pay off my mortgage. :T
