I've sold some books, DVDs I don't watch and some old CD's I was ashamed to admit I owned!!

Hiya,
Just a quick note about curry and diets. I love a nice hot curry but you can do really low fat ones as long as you use only a little olive oil to fry the onions and spices preferably in a non stick pan, if you avoid potatoes and tined/bottled sauces and use a low fat meat or veggies then you can have a great curry and eat away with lentils or wholemeal pitta breads.
Well done on all the sales and best wishes for your car boot!Debt Free - done

Sad thing is I know that.... I'm a Slimming World member and have recipes for low fat curries. I've just not been bothered. But I think that has something to do with being ill!!
But I am feeling much better and I haven't had a really bad panic attack since last week. I've also been wondering if the fact I've been struggling to lose weight could be down to them. Some sort or Primodial reaction to threat and stress, retaining body fat incase food runs out??

I think that there was something on the BBC news website about stress levels affecting weight loss. If you think that this could be true for you then maybe you should think about taking up yoga?
I am not so good at receipes! I just chop up an onion and some garlic then fry in whatever spices I fancy! It always tastes nice though if not like a recognisable curry.Debt Free - done

I can't do yoga. I had a bad back a few years ago and the specialist I saw told me never to do it. I have problems with my ligaments when means they don't hold my spine properly and yoga would make them far to flexible. I have tried pilates, but couldn't get on with it.
But I am going on a stress management course at the end of the month, which teach coping methods and some relaxation techiques which should be interesting. But I'm feeling much more in control at the moment which is nice and means that I can face dieting again.
We shall see how I get on.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Your right, stress does induce a state in your body that makes it store and crave certain (naughty) food types.
So learning to relax and eating little and often will help you to loose weight. So yoga or swimming etc might actually be a good idea. Plus when you exercise the endorphines released is your body's own natural high and feel good factor!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Have you ever thought about meditation then or aromatherapy? I am sure some of the posters could give you some tips about the right oils to get and where to get them cheaply!
I am sorry about your back, I !!!!!!ed some of my back nerves in a car crash and have to be very careful about what I do too.Debt Free - done

Most of the time my back is ok... Although losing over 4 stone has helped!!! I think I will look into it. My doctor said that I have to make some time for me and I was thinking of saving up to start and evening class in September so I might see if they do aromatherpy or something similar.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0

My fiance wants us to do a dance class or something so we can surprise everyone when we have our first dance at the wedding in December. However, I wouldn't know where to start.
I am suppost to take up swimming to get my shoulder working again after our car crash in May, but I'm a bit scared. It still really hurts. Went out at the weekend and had a bit of a boogie with some friends, it was killing all Sunday. I didn't drink so I know I didn't do anything too it other than the dancing.
Hmmm....should bite the bullet really.....Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
