I often struggle for things to say as when we are on an even keel I feel our lives are pretty boring too. You sound really down at the moment, I hope things pick up for you soon.If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

Thanks lil_me, I've sent an email to them giving the postcode and whatever else I could tell them to help the owner find it. I'll put sunflower seeds out again tonight in case it shows up for breakfast in the morning
Just managed to crop another picture. is this one clearer?
Wow lil_me, you are good at this stuff! many thanks for the links, and I think you are right, it could be a female Golden Mantled Rosella. It certainly liked sunflower seed!My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Nope no clearer but the colours match, poor little guys don't usually last long outside as they are tamed and don't know how to find food. It's also a seed eater if that's the right one, not many of those easily found. One day I might be more organised...........

Oh no! Poor little thing! It was pecking up seeds from below the feeders this morning, I put some on the ground for it and it ate those up. I hope it comes back in the morning to be fed and watered. I've sent the pictures to the Parrot people. Fingers crossed.
If anything happens to it I'm going to be in bits, I already lost a favorite Moorhen this week and got ridiculously upset about that. I'm know, I'm mad, and I really do have much worse things to worry about. No matter what is going wrong in my life you'd have to know me really well to guess it, but when it comes to creatures I'm in floods of tears at the least thing.

I'm the same, Racy
I have two lovely, chirpy budgies. There were three but Charlie died a few months ago. I was really, really, so upset.
They may be little creatures, but they are creatures nonetheless. Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
