    Spent £16,000 today

Finally the deposit be winging its way to the solicitor. We exchanged yesterday and complete on Monday 30th... very excited.

Still don't really know why I'm doing it though. The only real reason is to stop my parents yammering on about wasting money renting. Personally at present I don't see it _wasting_ money as I have no commitments. Now obviously I have a £108k commitment! The mortgage is fixed as of February and is for two years, so I should be OK for a while.

The only reason it would really be an advantage is if I could do what I wanted with it, but apparently you're not allowed to knock down walls etc which is annoying!

I've got two people living with me in this two bedroom flat. One is my girlfriend and one my friend Joel. His room is smaller than mothers airing cupboard but both are being charged a fairly minimal er... housekeeping?

Should be fun and makes my mortgage more affordable. Now I've just got to work out where that £1k I was previously spending a month was going! Cutting up my cards time (and closing paypal? lol)

This weekend I'm off to London Marathon to support the ambulance service with first aid and perhaps a little level 2 work (A&E ambulancing) on a volunteer basis. Next week is my girlfriends brothers birthday and her cousins wedding and the next day my completion!

    Morning all

Math - Normal people? Surely we're all normal with our delicate aroma of vinegar and freshly baked bread? Glad you're enjoying it.

Queenie - Pat on the back to DS! Sounds like he's doing well.

Hugs to those in need this morning.

It's a bit chilly here, cloudy too so I won't be venturing out in the garden today. Spent all day yesterday doing my accounts, I find it easier to leave them and do it all in one go - it's all done and DH will fill in my online tax form later - I can never fathom them out.

Today has been set aside to clean out the larder, freezer and fridge - I want to do a complete inventory and meal plan and get some fruit and veg cooked up that I know is on the turn.....got a feeling it's going to take longer than the tax return!!

A swish and swipe in the bathroom is in order too but will do that this evening whilst my bath is running - the steam makes it much easier to clean :D Lots of jobs to do in the garden over the weekend, including moving the shed  - I only cleaned it out the other day so at least I know it's just a case of empty it - move it - put it all back in - just hope it doesn't fall to bits on the journey.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

    Good morning to you all.

I dont w**k Fridays so I'm off with a mate for a ride out, dunno where we are going but the bead has been made for sarnies, I havent told Charlie pug we are going yet cos he gets too excited.

Was at the hospital yesterday morning with DD, shouted her up at half 7 and she forgot she had swopped bunks with other DD and jumped out of the top. I got steak out the freezer to put on her swelling knee and took her off to the hospital. She had just twisted it and the surley sister said she could go to school. Went to w**k and forgot about the meat so just prayed Charlie pug hadnt eaten it. Well he's too thick for that it was wrapped in a towel. I'm glad cos it was from the farmers market and I am now looking forward to eating it.

Well wishes to all those a bit under the weather.

Love and hugs to all those that need it.
Who would like my last penny?

    Morning :hello:

dlb and SOMO1 - you're right, this week has gone super quick! Still, I'm not complaining! This weekend is my favourite sort of weekend - one where I haven't got anything planned except for church :j :j The last two weekends have been mad what with church commitments over Easter, family gatherings, birthday parties... it will be soooo nice to have one where I get to do things at my own pace :T

Mind you, I have PLENTY of things to fit in :o - my To Do list has completely stalled over the last couple of days. Last night I was out all evening but I had hoped to get a few things done before bed - however in the end I didn't get home until 12:30am :o so was a little limited in what I could achieve! Managed to run a load in the dishwasher before bed (it was chocka - I haven't been cooking this week so haven't needed to run it since about Tuesday) and then put on the washing machine just before I went to bed.

Penny-Pincher!! I am v. jealous. I would love to bulk-buy decent meat, but don't have the freezer space for it (or the space for a bigger freezer - LOL!).

As tru said - Hugs, Birthday wishes, Commiserations, Get-well-soons and Good Lucks as appropriate :D And can I add for Queenie's benefit... Pat-on-the-back-to-super-talented-children ;):D Queenie, my little brother never learnt a musical instrument but my mum reckons that he has more natural ability than me  (and I'm a semiprofessional musician!) It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest... my sis and I both got the strong and weak genes distributed pretty evenly (in different ways) but our brother seems to have managed to land the full complement of good ones  What is it with little brothers? My mum's family is exactly the same - she and her 3 elder sisters all have their strengths and weaknesses, but their little bro has it all!

tim_n it's scary spending your entire life savings in one go isn't it? :rotfl: Best of luck with the move.

Anyway, I need to get going. Boss is out at a meeting this morning and I have a piece of work to do which, if I can complete it before he gets back, will impress him no end :D

Lunch will be coconut chicken with rice, which was earmarked for last night's supper but I ended up having cheese and marmite on toast instead. Dinner - dunno.

Have a nice day everybody :j

    Love Rzl xx

Morning all, very quick one at the mo. Attempted to post a few times yesterday and kept getting kicked off the site! Then got a post done and was told you do not have permission to post! Thought it was my system but over on DFW a couple of regulars are leaving as they are having so many problems with posts. Have made a very large pot of stock with odds and ends of veg and it smells terrific. Going to sort the frezer out so that I can get it filled for exam season. Other than that nothing too exciting. Hugs to all that need or just want one. Cats mostly ok, DH better last night than he was on Wed(Perhaps its a blessing that I couldn't post-saved you all a lot of grief) Going to try to get this posted. Fingers crossed. Have a good day everyone.Catowen just sen that you are still feeling a bit poorly/down hope you feel much better really soon HUGS Also Pen pin!! Get better soon hun.
