Hello everyone,
Hugs to the poorlies, and I hope the nightmares have reduced, seemed to be a lot of us afflicted the night before last!
MATH, good to hear from you and that the job is going well. I've had that strange experience of signing a leaving card when a newbie!
PEnnyPincher, hugs. And to anyone else poorly xxx.
Thanks Racy for the coot update. A friend saw a flotilla of 8 fluufy ducklings with their Mum on a local river, quite a procession.
Today I'm stripping my bed and having a good do at the bedroom. The cat needs to see the vet for his monthly shots to keep his chrnically inflamed gums under control.
I'm baking some irish soda bread to take to friends who've invited me for my evening meal tonight. If I find some squidgy bananas at the greengrocer, I'll also make some yummy banana flapjacks (recipe in OS index). They're brilliant because they come out soft - some recipes I've tried in the past have been truly tooth-shattering but this one is ace.
Have a lovely day whereever you are xxx.

Morning all. I have lost a post 6 times so give up mentioning everything, hope a hugs to all who need or would like one is ok for today as I've lost my temper with posting now.
I've had the dogs out and done some housework, I've done some of the kitchen which needs totally sorting out for the new FF arriving. Have managed to freecycle the old one, well via dontdumpthat.com but same thing.
I need to investigate today, as for the 10th time in 2 days there is a wasp in my living room. Thing is the windows are closed. Wondering if they are getting in somewhere else also if there is a nest close by as never had so many before, especially when it's raining outside. Thing is I am allergic to the stings and don't know if my son is, so they panic me.
Anyway, must get DP up as we need to get these benches cut in the kitchen etc, hope everyone has a good dayOne day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Be wary of wasps coming in. It is most likely getting in through the wall cavity - they can make their way through the smallest holes. In my old rented flat they used to come through the plug sockets. (if there was any reason to put cavity insulation and child safety plugs in that'd be it...)
Poke around too much and you may end up with a swarm. Turn everything off in the house and listen in the walls for buzzing...Tim0 -
Morning Everyone:j
Cloudy n chilly in ye olde london towne this morn - so no coffee in the garden for me!
Tried Lidl again this morn for the chicken breasts - still none
GET THE STOCKS sorted out Lidl's:rotfl: I think its one of those "Offer Tricks" where they only wanted to sell 2 bags at the cheaper price and then dont put anymore out till next week when the offers finished:rotfl:
Need to get some slabs sorted out this weekend for a new patio which DH will be laying next week.
math - Glad your enjoying the adult company, it is like that isnt it when you get back to work!:rotfl:
niterider - :T - its getting infectious now on here there have been a few PBond wins now!! hope the luck continues on spreading!!
catowen - Whats up Duck??? Not like you to be down - :grouphug:
Can I pull a silly face to make you smile?

Have a good friday everyone!0 -
Just taking a break from my marathon cooking session. Must have used everything in the kitchen and have just spent a good half an hour getting it back to normal.  Didn't help that I ran out of eggs just as I was mixing ingredients up for Amie's Weetabix Brownies (which I've promised DH by the time he gets back from work!) so I had to walk up the shops again.:o
I went up early to get the paper so that I had the morning free for baking so that plan backfired! I had to walk because it's not far and I've taken a vow not to drive such a short distance so I had to stick to it! Anyway, found some lovely free-rangers which I didn't know the local shop sold so have learnt something for my efforts!:j :j
Had a quick read of the thread since my last visit.
Racy - hope your headache has gone
Misbehaving- good luck with your chicken soup - it's renowned as one of nature's comforters and I always try and make it when anyone is unwell. Taplady - good luck with the school
PennyPincher sorry you've been unwell - hope you're getting better now. I would definitely take that meat offer up - it sounds wonderful and good value for money
dlb good luck to DS for his footie match
anniebooklover glad the oil is working
Math you sound dashing and dangerous but should not be allowed out unsupervised!
tru hope everything goes well at the dentist today
Peem ditto roadworks everywhere here - drives me mad because even the shortest journey seems to take forever. Don't worry about sounding like a nag - it's well known that women have to nag because it saves men having to develop a conscience of their own! I tell my DH it's not nagging just gently reminding and if he did what he was told the first time he was told it would only need one reminder! I have resorted to putting the electric drill on his dinner plate as a clue!
Crazychik took me ages to list eight items on eBay but I know that's me! I'm still learning but I did manage it in the end!
Churchmouse have a great weekend and make the most of being waited on - we don't get it often enough, do we?
Queenie you keep wearing your hat! Well done to DS on his achievements
Janb good luck to DS
Catowen so sorry you're still feeling so down. I hate feeling like that - but, as has been said on this post earlier, we're all here for you.
Groatie thanks for telling us where to find the Banana Flapjack recipe - I need a soft one for DH these days!
Well, house smells nice - all Weetabix Brownie! Have prepped Cajun Chicken (was going to be Lemon Chicken but changed the spices) to have with HM salsa, steamed asparagus and couscous. Strawberries marinading in brown sugar and balsamic vinegar, and have blended leftover stewed plums with greek yoghurt for pud.
Need to phone my mum - she phoned yesterday to say that British Gas had changed her direct debit from £60 a month to £170!!   - she lives on her own and is very careful with how much gas she uses and she updated her insulation and thermostats before the winter so I don't know where they've got that idea from. The news on Radio 2 has said that BG has had more complaints than ever so I need to make sure she phones them and sorts it out! Gas is supposed to be coming down or so I thought! I'm really angry about it.
Well, better go now - still got loads of paperwork which I will start in a minute; washing is blowing nicely on the line and the weather is a bit cloudy but we are still getting a lot of sun.
Hope everyone has a good Friday afternoon!:j :jKNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Morning All
(((hugs))) all round.
catowen why should you be different, my ramblings must bore everyone everyday. Seriously though, my usual offer of an ear on PM if needed is always there.
Just going to the hairdressers, DH dropping me off outside and I will organise my leg in there (nice friendly local one), but cannot handle the twinklies at the parting for another week.
Got a appointment with a vascular surgeon on Tuesday (thank you work for BUPA) so hope to get sorted out then.
Diet iffy again!
