Aaaah your dd is a star:D
I always think she looks a very happy, smiley girl in your photos...you're doing a fab job:j
When is her Brownie trip? My youngest is going to Paris in July and is sooo excited...it cost £330 which I think isn't too bad considering theyre going to all the sights, travel, accommodation etc...DD1 and I are very jealous:o Luckily ex stumped up half, so an even better deal for me;)

    Nearly the long weekend.....:T

Ooooh Paris how lovely. I have a thing about Paris. I have Art Nouveau prints in my living room. When I was growing up I was very lucky to be taken to France for holidays and we always stopped in Paris on the way back. I've been 3 times and have seen most of the sights. I would love to go again as an adult :)

I think £330 is very good for that - she'll have a lovely time. I'm very jealous too.

I have had a shockingly busy week at work. Last week of the tax year is always hectic but I've really been up against it this week. Luckily dd was at mum and dad's this week so I was able to get in earlier and stay a bit later but it still didn't seem enough time. Still I am now off for a week :)

WLM came round on Tuesday and we had a nice evening. I haven't really done much else this week apart from work :(

My week off and it started badly. I got a migraine on Saturday night which didn't go till late Monday night :( I also must have slept awkwardly the Wednesday before because I've had a really stiff neck since then. Must stop falling asleep whilst I'm sitting up in bed...the migraine came back on wednesday but over the other eye this time. Going ice-skating probably didn't help :o but we had a nice time and neither of us fell over!

We went to see The Croods on Monday which was really funny. On Tuesday we had a nice day out in the next town with my friend and her dd which has lots of gorgeous shops. Found a gorgeous fabric shop which has made me want to get my sewing machine out again. I was restrained and just bought some pins :D I did however buy a lovely antique looking bracelet in a vintage shop which was reduced to half-price and a necklace for £7.99.

We've had a good week off together all in all. Money saving has all but gone out of the window. We've been roller skating 4 times which all adds up but well worth it. I managed a ride on my bike yesterday - 14 miles in the rain but glad I went out. At least that was free.

All this and dd has still managed to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at least 4 times!

I was able to keep the food shop down to just £22.44 yesterday simply by just buying what we needed so clawed some money back there. We have loads in the freezer.

I went out for a meal last night for my friend's birthday. i didn't fancy going out but I had a lovely time - a real good laugh AND I still came home with half of the £50 I took out :T Just sitting here eating breakfast, getting some washing done and catching up on my TV before I pick dd up...

Heyyyy lovely to 'see' you back:)
Your week off sounds excellent - you and dd did lots of nice things. I do miss doing the younger girl activities - everything we do now seems to revolve around shopping...which I can ill afford:o it's good to get back to work to stop spending!

I'm still sat in my dressing gown, not feeling very motivated today, in a very 'cant be @rsedmood'....damn:mad: Rain outside doesn't help does it....spring must be round the corner by now surely?!;)

    Have a lovely weekend:)

Good to 'see' you too. Hope you're OK.

I must admit I am dreading the day when dd doesn't want to do all these activities with me. Actually I'm really dreading when she doesn't want me to go roller skating with her

You can blame me for all the rain because today I decided to treat my car to its annual clean :D

DD and I hoovered it all out and then she polished all the interior. Then we took it to the hand carwash which I never usually do but for £5 about 4 lads do it in about 5 minutes and do a far better job than I could do in 10 times that. I was so impressed I might even make it a monthly thing. Feels like a new car again.

I also checked the oil and repressurised the tyres. I was going to top up the screenwash because I noticed it had run out but when I went to pour some in the container it was already full. There didn't seem to be any blockage and I couldn't see it seeping out anywhere and the rear one is working so I don't know what's happened. Could be the pump's gone I guess. I might ask on the car board.

Minimal spend today. Needed to pop to sainsbugs for creme fraiche and brocolli which they didn't have in A1di. I also bought a plant for my aunt (ooh that rhymes) because we are going there for dinner tomorrow.

Just going to shuffle some money round the bank accounts now after this week's spends. If I get any maintenance in early I will be replenishing the emergency account.

First day back and I already feel like I was never off :( never mind, at least we're busy.

Have worked my money out and providing nothing too shocking happens this week I'll be fine till I get paid on 24th. I already have money put aside for groceries and petrol.

Have paid dd's brownie subs of £12.50 so not a NSD.

I am watching Fit to Rule on Beeb 2 about Royal health throughout history. It's Lucy Worsley. I love her stuff - she makes history even more interesting.
