Can't believe you still don't have the chromebook
Soon hopefully.......
I finally have it :j:j in fact earlier today I was in possession of 2 of them. I have since taken one back to pc w0rld and told them exactly why I didn't want it and got my money back. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Fleetw00d Mac tickets go on sale tomorrow and I desperately want one. Priority tickets sold out really early this morning. I've wanted to see them since I was about 14! Have got loads of people on the case but feeling really nervous in case I don't get one
Am getting used to the chromeb00k. Still finding my way around it but really loving its dinkynessIt powers up and is ready to use in about 7 seconds. The trackpad is really easy to use too. Internet speed seems quite quick too. It just does evrything I need it to really.
Have had a busy evening since getting home from the shopping centre. I've cooked dinner and whilst that was doing I hoovered upstairs and down (why am I never doing just one thing? Always 2 things at once), sorted clean washing, did small amount of ironing then finally mopped floors before coming up here to bed.
Just going to have a wander round the diaries then will get back to my book. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
We got tickets :j very expensive though but we are 4 rows from the front and are in the block in front of the stage so will be well worth it. So excited
So this amount of spending has put my plans for overpaying the mortgage back by a month. No matter, I will knuckle down soon
Food shop tonight came to £42.24 and I managed to get everything in A1di so no dangerous trips to other supermarkets needed where I might be tempted to spend more money.
It's quite cold here and we are expected to get bad weather on Sunday so if I feel up to it I might go for a bike ride tomorrow. We do need to go to the library though so will have to fit that in at some point. Sunday we will pop into town, on foot if necessary because my eyebrows desperately need threading.
Meal plan
Saturday - chicken wrapped in bacon, rice, broccoli
Sunday - balinese chicken, rice, poppadoms
Monday - risotto
Tuesday - at mums (pancakes)
Wednesday - salmon pasta (plus more pancakes)
Thursday - tuna steaks, chips, sweetcorn
Friday - at mums
I think that's it. First wash of the night is on, I will hopefully have it all done by the morning.
Loving my chromeb00kIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
It's quite bright and sunny out today so I'm going to get up in a little while, get my bike clobber on and get out on a nice ride. I imagine it is quite cold but it doesn't seem very windy which is always a bonus.
At least it keeps me out of the shops. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Wow - you are sounding very positive !!
And so organised. Look at your menu plan. I am very impressed. Enjoy your bike ride x0 -
I managed just over 15 miles on my bike. That's the furthest I have ever done on my own and I went on a route I've never done before. Saw lots of other cyclists (everyone is so friendly
) I felt very virtuous when I got home.
Popped to the library this afternoon and spends today was just 39p in sainsbugs on a clove of garlic and some ginger for our balinese chicken tomorrow.
Tonight's chicken wrapped in bacon was delicious and afterwards dd said if I plaited her hair all over she would do the washing up. Sounded like a good deal to me so that's what we did.
I've just realised that I haven't managed to half the things on my to-do list that I posted earlier in the week....next week perhaps....

I am certainly feeling the effects of my bike ride - legs are really aching today. Still, no pain no gain
I will get up in a little while. We need to go into town so I can get my eyebrows done. I must pop into Wilk0s and get 2 lightbulbs to go into the extractor fan over my hob. At the moment the lighting in my kitchen is quite romantic - surviving with just one ceiing bulb in a triple light fitting because the casements in 2 of the fittings perished when i removed the dead bulbs  I really need to replace the whole light but that will be a job for an electrician.
Also need stamps (for dd's thank you notes), a birthday card for my uncle and some butter.
So much for not spending any more money! I've about £3 in my purse so if I take an extra £10 out that should cover everything else.
I must admit I am loving the battery life on this chromeb00k - I charged it on Thursday evening (only took about 45 mins from completely empty) and it's been on every day since (not continuously mind) and only a third has gone :TIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Morning:D
Glad you got the chromeb00k in the end and that you're enjoying it:T
We're off to town today - haven't been since the Christmas hols, very impressed with myself. I just haven't had the money to spare for anything though, what with tyres, brakes, car tax and girls cheerleading club subs. Expensive January but I am pleased that I did it all using tax credits and just not buying anything extra...no using savings and ex's maintenance went into savings and I haven't touched it:beer:
Your meal plan looks great, I haven't done this weeks yet...must get and update my diary and might add mine. One job for half term is to look through my many cook books and fine some new recipes we might all like....it's a tough ask, dd1 knows what she likes and just wants to eat that all the time:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Same here, I've paid for dd's birthday presents and party, my chromeb00k treat to myself, after school club fees, our new glasses and all the other bills without going into my overdraft.
All that may be about to change. Our trip to the town ended with us coming home with burger k1ng for lunch :shhh:
And i forgot the butter
We did stock up on birthday cards and stamps though so not all bad. I will update my cashbook in a little while so I can see exactly what the damage is.
It was freezing out and raining and it turned into sleet later on. I fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon which was lovely. We had our balinese chicken which was delicious and there was loads left over for another meal. I've got all ironing done and put away and dd will be going to bed shortly - just in time for me to sit and watch my programmes - Call the Midwife and Mr Selfridge - I do love a period drama on a Sunday nightIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Ooh Balinese chicken...recipe please?!:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0
