Hi Everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Have not been on for a few weeks, have been potting the odd £1 here or there over the last few weeks.Went to look at the sale not much there so have only potted 86p far this week change from my lunch.
Just in case not on beforehand hope you all have a safe and happy new years eve.

Hi Everyone Merle 1834 here. I have started my Sealed Pot Challenge 6 using a great little tubular chocolate box for now.
10 x 20p this morning and 5 x 2p. £2.10p total. Found the 20p's on the floor in my son's room. Feel really pleased I have made a start.

About £3.30/£3.50 gone in and need to use cash more to get some change (i generally use cards).
As I only save £2, 50p and 20p coins I might struggle.
£2 coins really help, but not many of late. I'll have to change tenners. lol

My terramundi pot arrived today :j.It is an xmas gift from OH.
So I have transfered all my change from my other pot. I tidied through the kitchen drawers yesterday and found 73p. I thought I had claimed all the loose change in the house when I started this challenge.

Hi I've just been reading up on SPC and decided to join... Scrolling Down thru membership list saw my name at no 225!!! Must've signed up yonks ago and forgotten. Have never done spc before to my knowledge or recollection! Anyway I'm in for SPC no 6 and wi update my sig now. Proud member 225!! Gonna use an old jar to be extra frugal, and will use whatever I save for Xmas food shopping 2013

Managed a couple of £1 coins tonight and earlier today s-i-l insisted I took £5 towards petrol so I have been very good and popped that into the pot too (real paper money) :j

hello all, well after trying a couple of years ago with this and getting nowhere due to hubby and children raiding it when we were skint, I would like to try again in 2013.
I've snaffled a empty sweet tin from work and i'm gonna superglue and duct tape it up to prevent it being broken into.
Hopefully now that finances are more under control then I'm not gonna be skint as often so the need to get money from it will be reduced.

Hi Helsbels8080 and welcome to MSE as well as SPC (official welcome is above ^). To put your No on your signature, go to "Quick Links" on the top green bar, click on it to get the drop-down list then click on "Edit Signature" and put your SPC No there. Any questions..please just ask. :grinheart

Hi Merle, many apologies, but I've made a blunder with your No, it should be 1934. So sorry about that. Could you kindly pop your No on your signature for me, thanks. On joining SPC, Paddles, it always pays to deep clean the house...and car!

Hellloo there, P_grrl, lovely to see you back saving with us. Your No's on your siggy.

Lynsey, try using a 'holding pot' to help you out. Put your cash left into an unsealed pot for a week and only use it IF you need to. After the week is over pop it (or what's left) into your sealed pot where it's then safe. Do that each time and you won't need to worry.

It's so good to see you more often, b_e_g, good saving too.
