  • Hello - well having been totally torn in town last night I chose not to spend my £1 on a lovely tin (for my sealed pot) in the pound shop and stick with my Walls Icecream tub instead :) I dithered for ages before deciding I would 'pot' the pound instead.

No-one knows I am potting this year - think dd and dh would laugh.... however plan is that they will be more onboard when I break it open on Nov 28th 2013...then they can buy me a lovely tin for next year :)

It has been slim pickings the last few days with dd taking all of my spare change for disco, charity dress up day, carol service collection etc. I did find 2 bits of roadkill this morning in Asda carpark though (2 x 1p... but every little helps!... wrong store I know :rotfl:)

However tonight I was sorting out coats in the hall and removed a couple that don't fit (next year's challenge ;))... I checked the pockets and..... £10!!!! in the pot it goes :j:j:j

    Love this challenge.

Not sure if I will be on much over next few days as still lots to do but .... Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas. I know lots of people have been ill so hope you are all feeling better by Tuesday xxx

  • Well, I added another £1.27...So I'm pleased with that....

Jakes-mum, you have been in the wars lately, I hope your DH will be out of pain soon and that Miss Lily is feeling better and looking forward to Santa coming. Hugs for you all.

Only potted a few pence lately, I've been very good and not spending.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

  • Oh jakes-mum will sickness never end at your house? :( Hopefully, everyone has now had all the bugs going and will be much better by Tuesday. I do hope so for your sake. My two little GC have had a nasty bug and now DD has got it...sore throat, feeling yuk etc. She's cooking for us all on the big day so I hope she'll be better then too
We had a lovely meal with our friends on Wednesday. G has now had his scan results and although it definitely is prostate cancer, it doesn't appear to have spread (thanks to the dear Lord) and he'll have an op to remove it in the new year.

Magically, I've got 3 shiny 50p pieces left in my purse so in the pot they have gone :) I have my last food shop to do on Christmas Eve (what a day to pick ) and I don't suppose there will be much left in my purse after that to pot. I've been doing a budget for next year (how I wish I could utilise spreadsheets like some clever folk on here ) and was wondering if anyone else is increasing their food budget for 2013 in view of the possible increase in veg prices etc? I can see an increase already, do we need to worry?

Stay warm & safe everyone it's awfully wet out there :santa2:
