£5.00 potted today. Have just bought a giant sealed pot which myself and my OH have decided is our house deposit fund. The pot was a bit ugly so I have covered it in wrapping paper to jazz it up a bit.
Hope that everyone is keeping cool in this warm weather.

Hi Modesty and welcome back from your holiday at WSM, so pleased to hear you enjoyed yourself.

A warm welcome back from Lake District, Rosy, and I'll bet it was superb up there this time of year. Not that I'm at all envious. :(

What great achievements for your DS, mumof3plusoh, especially the PB in hurdles!!! Congratulations to him :T I used to LOVE hurdles! :j

Glad you arrived ok, Untouchable, and that you've tidied up for your Mum...well cleaned her out of cash a least. ;)

BRILLIANT saving, Emily!!! You're doing sooo well this year! :D

It sounds as though that seller was a right crafty so and so, jakes-mum. Push hard til he/she is sorted, it may have been a mistake but - as if they'd measure the roof part alone - poppy !!!!! :(

Happybeingme I'm so pleased your DS enjoyed his 18th, he sounds like my eldest, more grunting than conversation. Kids - bless them. :A

Keep up the pocket raiding, mummytummy, he must want you too. ;)

You are doing so well with your saving, Donna, though how d'you know how much is in there if it's "sealed"???? ;) For tips on roadkill - ask sparky - he's always getting some; if you're in the Liverpool area then forget it as that's where sparky is!!
    Hi Donna

I work my 2nd job in a bar.. Plenty of road kill there!! Think its the only reason I stay there ha ha ha
    DDx

You jammy so and so, Determined diva, it has to be about the best job for that for certain. I bet you even get to know which ones are more likely to drop em too. :rotfl: Er...in a manner of speaking.

All the best with the pot and house deposit, Pins, save save save!!

I sincerely hope so, Lynsey, there's been a LOT of new members this year so it should be more. BTW, I'm melting here in Somerset, it is soooooooo bally HOT and......we had to trudge all over town - ending with a marathon walk all the way up hill - then a mammoth amount of steps and then into a boiling hot car!!!

Ah well....could be winter and freeeeeezing! :D

£20 for the pot after shopping - AND - 5p roadkill!!!!!! :j Our friend looked at me with a half-cocked eye, but I was NEVER going to leave it there!

We are so very proud of our middle DGS as he got student of the year award for maths!!!!! :T:j:T

Have a wonderful evening and cool (uh huh :cool2:) Friday, everyone. Keep saving well.

    Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.:grinheart
