Sorry for not being around all week but caught hubby's cold bug and this with fibro has addled my brain!
Treated myself to a nicy new shiny sealed savings pot and i will be putting my spare coinage in later on today :j
Looking forward to having some savings next year so that hubby and i can treat ourselves too!
Good luck everyone.

£4.32 for the pot (with some 50ps and 20ps reserved for hospital parking). I'm chuffed with myself, as last year I really only saved £2 coins. This year I'll save them too, but I'm trying to let go of other coins too! I'm looking forward to Christmas next year already!
I'm a little concerned that I'll end up withdrawing more cash from the bank though, rather than using up the coins in my purse. Any thoughts?0 -

Hi howabout using an unsealed tin for the week, you can dip into this if needed, but whatever is left over at the end of the week can get put into the sealed tin.
I think I saw this idea on this thread somewhere ?? Hope it helps anyway
Thanks

A very warm welcome, Lordhightiggythe3rd, it's lovely to have you with us.
Enjoy yourself saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it helps so very much.Morning all, £5.00 going in pot today .dgd is on the mend now so that's good just hope we do not come down with it! .looking forward to seeing the grand total :-) it gets bigger each year .
Hi skilly, it's so good to hear your DGD's much better now, I do hope you keep free. Sadly, the Grand Total isn't looking so good this yearwe've still LOADS more people to let us have their Totals on the old thread, but it's like pulling teeth! I'm stalling in the hope that some will remember, but shan't hold my breath.
I have also not been feeling very MSE as had to stick some stuff on cc... But am going to stop beating myself up about it. At least my 'pot' should help with Christmas next year
Hi flump, I hope you and DD enjoyed the Christmas concerts. Please try not to worry too much about putting some things on your CC, we're lucky at this time of year if we can get through it without doing so. Ay you say, it's not worth beating yourself up over, truly.Your pot will be a huge advantage to you next year, so......look ahead!
Hi Susanne and well done.
Hi peony, I'm so sorry to hear you've been poorly, that you have fibromyalgia too. A horrible combination. Get as well as possible soon. If you keep saving well it'll do you good to be able to plan time away together. :grinheartI'm a little concerned that I'll end up withdrawing more cash from the bank though, rather than using up the coins in my purse. Any thoughts?
Try not to worry too much, black cat, Nessa remembered my post about the holding pot well. Why not use one unsealed pot as a 'holding' pot and pop the money in their first each week - then if it's not desperately needed (for CP costs etc) - put it in a Sealedone so it stays put. Do that each week and it'll save you taking money from the bank. Discipline yourself to only take what's needed! :A BTW, an excellent amount saved!!
Very well remembered, Nessa! You earned a gold star for helping a fellow member. :staradmin I love where you say your location is, brilliant!
At last a saving day!!! :j A whole £15 in the pot for this week!!!! Chuffed to bits with that much.Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone.

`Take note of the following, girls.
Don't wash your hair in the shower !It's so good to finally get a health warning that is useful! THIS INVOLVES THE SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY WHEN YOU SHOWER WITH IT. A WARNING TO US ALL!!! Shampoo Warning! I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner! I use shampoo in the shower! When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning, "FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME." No wonder I have been gaining weight! Well! I got rid of that shampoo and I am going to start showering with Sunlight dishwashing liquid instead. That label reads, "DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE." Problem solved! If I don't answer your emails, I'll be in the shower!
:eek: I think that must be where I'm going wrong too, Sue!:rotfl::rotfl:
I've just come back from watching my little 8yr old GD dance in her Christmas Show ( a tear comes to the eye...) She was wonderfulnow I'm starving, DH is at work and I fancy chip shop chips
However, I have decided to put some fish and oven chips on and will pot my £1 instead :A
Have a lovely evening everyone. I'll be watching Merlin later with a nice glass of Bailey's in my handStay warm! x
