Hope you are all enjoying the lovely sunny bank holiday weekend. We had a yummy barbie this evening, complete with smores... seriously sinful but so worth it!!

That Barbie sounds lovely but, Lindylou, (I might be a bit thick here...) what are smores??

Spent the afternoon at the village club yesterday with DD and family. The weather was gorgeous :cool2: but money was spent on ice creams all round and I shelled out for a takeaway for tea...spent my whole £20 week's pocket money in one go :eek: Never mind we all enjoyed it and I might as well pot what I have left which is 52p

BTW jakes-mum don't give in about having a dog....it will be you who cleans up, feeds, walks and spends money at the vet's on it!

Enjoy the lovely day everyone x

Back from sunny Dorset after another 2 legs of the coast path, the more I walk the more I appreciate what a beautiful part of the country it is :)
Managed to hold back 4 x £2 coins over the weekend so they got potted tonight with some shrapnel which is pretty good I reckon :)
Can recommend the ham, egg & chips from the cafe at Portland Bill lighthouse, nom nom nom!

Fed the pot 10p today. We had such a productive morning (what good girls we were) that we went for a walk to the beach this afternoon, via the ice-cream shop and chippy and the 10p was the change. :)

I just popped on to give Jakes-Mum a big fat kiss!! :kisses3: After reading about your facebook selling, I put a few things on this afternoon and have sold two already, making me £29! DH immediately wanted to use the money for his bike....grrrrr ....but so far I am insisting that it goes towards the house moving fees! ;) I expect I will pay for his bike necessities soon enough though! :o

I have lots of toys/games that I didn't bother putting on ebay as it wasn't worth doing but I am definitely going to put them on facebook. Happy girl!! :p
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

Welcome home rosy! We like Portland Bill too but didn't get to try the caf! ...it was out of season and therefore closed when we went last year. Maybe sometime soon :D

In other good news, I also became debt free during the month of April too, so I'm really over the moon with that!

However is best with you, Delilah, that's the way to do it. Well done and excellent news on the debt-free status!!!! :T

Very well done, Helen, and all the best in taking it easy - and keeping it!! ;)

Hi Sue  now you know I wouldn't leave you :D Yes, my tingly leg is related to my sciatica. Once the sciatica gets a grip, the pressure on the nerves makes my leg tingle in the most alarming way and sometimes my big toe goes numb :o I have to rest until it eases....it becomes very painful to sit at the computer (sit anywhere, in fact,) but you know yourself how backs can just flare up for no apparent reason. Hope you feel much better now too.
Thanks for the great suggestions for fundraising. I'll relay all these ideas to the committee & I'll email you very soon with our exciting news :T

Oh poor you, little_sweetie, sorry to hear that it's the very painful type of 'tingly leg', I'm so pleased it's much better for you now. Mine flared up a bit again at the end of last week, but not like the time before, thankfully. Only just read your news (due to the back) and am delighted for you both!!!!! Be with you shortly, make sure you have an amazing time! :grinheart

It's so good to hear you too are becoming addicted, cakemum!

No worries, Nell, he may well remember your words when he gets hard up later and start to save. At least you tried. :)

    Well done your hubby, Emily!!

Isn't it absolutely delicious, Rosy, only eaten there twice, both with our Canadian friends, but it was splendid and our friends adored the view! I'm so pleased you go to do more walking there as it really is such a delightful coastline.

Have a lovely day tomorrow, folks, I hope the weather stays good wherever you all are.

    Sue x

Took £100 out of banked savings for our day trip to Weston Super Mare on Sunday :o. Put £80 of it back in bank plus handful of change in pot. :j

Jakes-mum, we absolutely adore our three Staffies :A:A:Abut they do cost us a fortune in vets bills as they are prone to allergies. Plus they ruin the garden. :p They are excellent with children if they are brought up right. The horror stories you hear are down to the owners not treating the dogs right.
