Potting away quietly here.. Not too much as I had a bad month the last two months.. decided to put my sterling potting into one tub and my euro potting into another.. Would love around £150 in the sterling pot as it would pay for my wedding cake ;)

I've had £10 in my purse for the last few days...going into the holding piggy until the end of the week :A

Saving hard in the next few months for holiday spending money....definitely not breaking into my SP though. Think that's going to go on Christmas nights out :D - hopefully won't need to subsidise my Christmas saving fund

    :easter_ba HAPPY EASTER!!!! :easter_ba
    :easter:

This is definitely me today: :EasterBun

I'm super excited :D We've been tidying the back bedroom today, as it has been pretty much just a room full of junk since we moved in a few months ago. I found a pretty purple box of mine full of 1ps and 2ps that I saved up a few years ago :) So I'm going to count it up after lunch and add it into the sealed pot :) I seem to recall I have an Irish coin from 1992 in there which I saved, but I guess it doesn't really have any use in there...does it count as legal tender in England? :)

On another note, I think my OH is a vampire  This is the first time I've seen the sun in weeks and he has just come into the room and closed the curtains, complaining that it's too bright :(

And sparky, I am amazed at that list! No wonder you've got the roadkill reputation you have. :D

WOW sparky thats some roadkill haul - well done you!!

Hello and welcome to our newbies, hope you enjoy being part of our gang.:)

I haven't been out much this week and DH has given me his 'man flu' but of course, I'm not as poorly as he was. Anyway, I raided his pockets and got 6 x £1 coins and 78p in change. I also potted 2 x £2, 3 x £1 and 45p in scrapnel from my purse, not a bad haul for the owls head and the vw campervan.

The student gave DH and me a smarties easter egg each - bless.

Rats - them loverly critters - not! my neighbours have them in their garden and they use my garden as a short cut to where ever they go to.. and they have bypassed traps and poison doesn't seem to have any effect on them.... grrr

I have 5p to pot, which I'll do when I eventually make myself go in to the kitchen.

We had a rat problem when we first moved in to our house (we're renting), it was finally sorted out after we'd been here for a year. Last night I thought I saw a rat but then convinced myself it was just a shadow, however DH sent me a text at work today to say he thought they were back. So I did the trusted shreddies test (put a few shreddies along the bottom of the floor cabinets) and sure enough they were gone within half an hour!! Our rats are very brave and don't mind when they come out!!

Last time we put some poison in the base units in the kitchen and by the time we'd come downstairs from putting some up in the loft you could hear the rats crunching on the poison!! Yes it kills them but then they go and die behind the dishwasher because it's a warm place and then you have the 'smell' and flies for over a month even though we got rid of the body! I best get the rat trap out tonight, hopefully we can kill a few of the dumber ones off with that!!

Hi Mossy, would you mind telling me the name of the poison you used to rid your kitchen of rats? (I have a rat problem as well coming from next door - ta muchly for your help).
