I've put £10 of the Easter money I got from relatives in the pot today, hooray!
Meanwhile, I'm getting very down about how on earth we're going to pay back the £5k we owe my OH's Dad and fund a wedding. Ever since we got engaged 2 and a half years ago I wanted to get married in June 2014, but now it's very much out of sightAs I said here before, I lost my Auntie just over a month ago who would have loved to be at our wedding. I also lost my Grandad at the age of 61 in 2006 and my OH lost his Mum when he was still a child. I just feel that there's already too many important people who aren't going to be there, and I don't feel like I don't want to wait too long because we have lots of elderly relatives that mean so much to us that have or have had health problems over the last year...I don't want anyone else to be missing from our big day
Sorry, feeling a bit down this eveningSPC '21 #0750 -

Hi chelle24 - you are more than welcome to join our merry band - some of them are a bit crazy but don't tell them I said that
I really find that checking in here regularly keeps me on track and motivates me to keep potting.
So.....have a good read at the first post. Sue will be along soon to give you your number (I was super-excited to get mine :j ) .....and it's really helpful to our lovely counter-uppers if you put your number on your signature.
Good luck - and happy pottingSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

I'm sorry your feeling down, try and look at the positives, like you're saving now with us so you're on the right road to paying back and paying for your wedding. Do you have to wait till next year to get married? Could you have an MSE wedding sooner? Just a thought, tell me to mind my own business.
Hope everyone had a lovely peaceful chocolatey EasterThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hope you had a lovely Easter tooEven having an MSE wedding I'm sure can't afford it as soon as we'd like
I think part of this is because it's important to us that we want to get married in the church that my OH's Mum is buried at. Another reason is probably because we don't really have any friends/family that could help out, at least not for free anyway.
Maybe I've just got the blues because it's still wintery in AprilSPC '21 #0750 -
Morning all!!
Sending you a hug dinglefoot, you'll get there. x Welcome to all the newbies!
Potted 15p yesterday and have just been able to put £240 in to our 'house moving fee's' account. Yay!! :T
I hope everyone had a good Easter weekend and are enjoying the school holidays (if they get to have them). The sun is shining, the rats are still here (council and landlord coming around today to look at where they're getting in from this time), and we have some (brave) friends coming to stay with us for a few days so lots to do!
My course is going well, I've submitted the draft for my first project and I have three other student's drafts to review. It's all good fun and great practice.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
