Well its that time of year again! The time I dread the most each year without fail . . . . yes its DH's birthday time  each year without fail I have to try and stop DH not only finding out what ive got him, but not ordering what ive bought himself in the week before the big day *rolls eyes*

Every year the man has one thing he desperately wants, that he tells me all about, I then spend weeks, if not months tracking down said gift at a price I can afford, along with any other bits he may need to make said gift work (always electronic) that he hasnt realised he needs, then to spend the last 2 weeks having to make excuse after excuse as to why he cannot just order what hes been going on about and 'pay me back' with his birthday money

Now after 15 years of always getting the one gift hes raved about you think he would have learnt that mayb ehe should shut up, sit on his hands and wait to see whats in the big brightly coloured boxes as its more than likely the one thing hes been dreaming about! but no, hes sat in the hall on the computer looking at *the gift* telling me how much each part will cost and if I bid on them they would still be here before his birthday and 'I'll just give you my birthday money to cover it' grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Who wants him? i'll even send him first class delivery :D

Oh well only 8 more days of 'ooops sorry hun, i forgot to bid on that item you havent shut up about for the last 24 hrs. Yes it was a good price wasnt it (not as good as what ive just paid you t*t) yes i'll very definitely remember for the next auction'

My hands stink of that money sort of smell :( I've counted through the change in the purple box and there was £1.48. Many of them were shiny coins, (I've long had problems with spending nice shiny ones :) ), others were made before either of my parents were born!

Maybe these could be sold? who knows...

Maybe you should introduce a ban. He is not aloud to buy ANYTHING for himself the whole month before his birthday. When it was nearly my birthday i used to say to my then boyfriend "i'm just nipping to town to buy [some gift]" And he would say no you cant, then i'd know this was what i was getting for my birthday / christmas heeheehee

Well just remember, you've not spent any of the money you have saved. A few months back you had to dip into it so no matter how bad money seems currently you can be proud that you are doing better than before :)
