Oooh mossy, I hope you either get rid of the varmints or move out soon! Makes mice in my garage seem tame in comparison (although don't know who was more scared when we came face to whisker over the potato box!!)
Whilst on the subject of unwanted critters, today's grand potting of £2.30 came via a refund from T***o on a bag of frozen peas, which contained (wait for it) a SNAIL!!!Not a very big snail, and definitely a very frozen snail, but a snail nevertheless! Apparently Head Office will be in touch in due course... hope they will compensate me for the sudden unwillingness of kids to eat peas, lol!!! :rotfl:
beccah, just love your little one's comment! My two are also now well-schooled; DS found a penny on the pavement the other day and was very proud to pot it! DD sometimes contributes a silver coin if she is feeling generous... definitely worth them getting the habit early!
Enjoy the rest of your evening, folks, I am just going to tidy up the fridge by emptying the open wine bottleSPC No. 104 (oh no I've lost my magic 2000!)

. Money actually went into my bank today but I'm ignoring it until it's meant to be there :A
So £3.85 potted today - no idea how much is in there now....looking forward to the surprise :T
I do enjoy reading what everyone's up to and thanks to everyone who keeps us all up to date :jSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
There is a nice walk from lulworth Cove to weymouth it's about 14 miles or weymouth to abbotsbury is nice as well .
Oh, skilly, there's really beautiful scenery on both walks for sure. We used to live at Litton Cheney, not far to take the kiddies to the beach or go fishing. BTW. I do hope that greenhouse doesn't take too much longer, you'll be frozen silly...or in a drunken stupor .Thanks Sue I'll be careful
Thanks skilly we're starting at Studland so should get to those bits soon, I'm looking forward to it even if its cold it'll be fun
Ahh typical eh, skilly, she's checking out the nudist beach FIRST!! Wrong time of year, Ruby, it'll all be shrivelled and not worth a view! :rotfl:
LC 2, a little late I'm afraid, but.....A very Happy Anniversary!!!!
Well done on that £20!!! :T
Rats are such nasty creatures, mossy, do be careful with your little ones as they spread weil's disease to open wounds which can be fatal!! TBH, if it were me I think I really would go for jakes-mum's idea and hold the rent back until the landlord contacts you - then have her sort it!!
Well done to your little sweetheart, beccah, catch em while they're young indeed. :j
Freezing cold or not, Hollygym, you look forward to going to Scotland. Even if you don't do a lot you can relax and hopefully get over that cough and cold. Take some games with you just in case.
9p saved is way better than 9p squandered, Bedsit Bob.
Excellent work, shinner, I love the way you solved that dilemma! :T Also, all the best with (or should that be without) the fags - it can be done!Keep warm, everyone, and and stay well.....and saving. :grinheart

but you didn't hear that from me!
Good morning
£9.55 went into my pot last night! a lovely much needed boost
i need to rant, it has been bugging me since last night. We went for dinner with friends last night and had a cheeky little pudding. I had kids chocolate brownie and custard and my dad had jam rolly poly and custard both of which came ON A PLATE!!!! This is just wrong. Am i being crazy? i think so maybe lol

Crimson -well done with the £9.55.
The custard thing - yep I agree its wrong, but can see why restaurants (and my mum!) do it. A plate will hold far less custard than a bowl. Whilst the restaurants do this to increase their profit margins, my mum does this to save my dad's waist line.SPC No:118:j (6) £468.74 (7)
