My pot for SPC6 is doing quite well already.
I was handed 2 x £2 coins today and as I have solemnly promised to pot all £2 coins, in they went.
I have just started keeping a strict account of all cash spending (because I am wondering where on earth it all goes!) so I know that I have already put at least £14.05 into my sealed pot. I have a whizzy new spreadsheet that summarises all my spending in a few clicks of the mouse, it's cool.
I took all my coins to the bank today and got notes for them, and I went Christmas shopping this evening and it was soooo lovely to reach into my purse and just pay for stuff with my crisp £20 notes. :j :snow_laug0 -

Have potted £9 today.
Am going to keep check of how much I have potted as I think it will keep me focussed. Had some money left from the last pot so have a good start already.
Good luck everyone for new year ahead. :j:j0 -

SPC number 1090 reporting for the SPC #6. My pots are all ready to go. Again my total is going on my car insurance (due on 3rd Dec) and hopefully like this time it will make a good dent in the cost. I would like to aim for £250 and anything else is a bonus.

I'm going to try and be really really strict with myself and not spend it later in the Year...I really want to spend it on Christmas Shopping next Year and really be able to treat people...0 -

Dont worry about your english chupachups. Most english people aren't that good at speaking english so we are already well ajustedSeriously though this money is not for me to keep, I plan on giving it to a charity in Cardiff who run a daily soup kitchen Mon to Fri and then a nightly food run every night. Everyone in need is welcome and they have around 50 visitors a night.
The charity also makes up about 250 food parcels for those in need.
That is a fantastic idea kittiej!

Naughty naughty, Gap,
you're evading the question! Do you declare it on the £2 challenge??? IF not, then you're welcome to save it all with us!
Erm...... I'm not actually sure. I was hoping someone else would come along and save me here (PMO2!). I have looked at the first post of the challenge to read all the instructions again and it just says that you can put down a date or a target if you want: "The aim is to collect every £2 coin you can lay your hands on!" There is nowhere that says the totals will be counted at any time. I guess it is just to encourage everyone in the challenge to save. In my case I will declare my total but I don't think it will be counted towards a grand total of all savers unless the person running the challenge will tot it all up at the end of the year, however, the first post of the challenge doesn't make that clear. Other than that, I'm a bit stuck on your question
