    Hellooooooooooooo Potterssssssssssssss

Hugs to you Beccah :( he's better off out the way than under your feet not supporting you, your boys are still your boys no matter what at least with diagnosis you have support available for them :)

Hugs to you too Sue-UU glad your feeling better xx

Well its DH and my 6th wedding anniversary tomorrow and tbh we are totally uninterested, we have bought each other nothing (not even a card) I did bake him a chocolate cake today but I have to be frank and say what the heck is the point of spending a load of cash to remember our wedding day?? We tell each other we love each other every day, does it really make it mean more because its the anniversary? or mean less because its not said whilst proffering a bunch of flowers or a box of choccies?

Mybe im just getting a bit miserable in my old age but I didnt want anything, DH didnt want anything so we just sort of didnt bother :o I really am quite happy with a 'Happy anniversary' and a cuddle :o

On a more money saving note, ive sold a few bits on FB which has all gone in the tin and DH decided he really wanted to show DS 'real gaming' so went out and spent £1.99 on the original Tomb Raider fr PS1 bringing me a £2 coin for the pot :D (see true love :kisses3:)

Had to laugh at DS as when we put it on he exclaimed 'OMG mum! those graphics are RUBBISH!' :rotfl: ahh I remember when Lara Crofts bum on PS1 was thought to be the best thing ever drawn :rotfl:

  • Evening all, hope the weekend's going well. I stood in a preschool hall for three hours this afternoon with my B*dy Sh*p products, freezing my bum off, for no discernible gain (either in monetary or leads terms!) Obviously weather too inclement for folk to venture out... and nowt for the pot there either!!

Just 90p change from buying pizza toppings at the supermarket afterwards... making our own is becoming a bit of a weekend ritual now, and I have to say they are much tastier (and way cheaper) than shop-bought ones! Very MSE... ;)

Beccah, I was very heartened to hear what you had to say about your son and his abilities, as that was (is) our problem too; as DS is doing really well at school (particularly in more practical subjects, but he's also an avid reader) he has never really been "flagged" as being in need of extra support when compared to children with more obvious needs. Only by insisting on intervention have I been able to secure a little extra help for him. My concerns over his physical/co-ordination difficulties have been consistently ignored over time, but just recently I insisted he be referred to a physiotherapist, who agreed he should have been referred way earlier, and he is now having to wear orthotic inserts in his shoes (which he hates, bless him). Be interesting to see how he copes when he goes off to secondary in September; I shall be keeping a very close eye on him to make sure he is coping with the changes (he's very big on routine and does get distressed if things change too radically in his world!) Might sound like I'm blowing my (and other mums') trumpets, but I think we do marvellously by our lovely kids, and they are all lucky to have us!! :T Keep up the sterling work, ladies xx

And we are so lucky to have this group; lots of heartwarming and also uplifting stories come to the fore which help a lot of us feel a whole lot less alone with our difficulties and frustrations. Thanks, one and all :A

And thank you for my star, Sue-UU, I'm touched that you think I deserve one, and will post it on my sig as soon as I have worked out how!! (Instruction, anyone, please?!) :D

Enjoy the rest of your weekends... I am now off to make my HWB and retire to bed... sweet dreams, everyone!
