In answer to your question bedsit bob, I probably only pot twice a week. I only go to the supermarket once a week (otherwise small trips lead to me overspending), and I pot my change from that. I pay myself an allowance each Saturday, so I pot any leftovers from the previous weeks money when I get my new allowance (if that makes sense).

#694 reporting for duty (only 3 months late!) apologies! but better late than never! *rolls up sleeves*

Hello there, keza!! :D I was beginning to think you'd left us, lovely to see you.
Well, Sue, I rang them this morning and they could get a repair chap out to me on Wednesday but I would have had to pay £91 over the phone then pay extra for any parts with no guarantee of a working appliance afterwards (and it's only 3 years old) I politely told them to stuff forget it and rang a local chap instead. He was lovely! He looked up my appliance on the internet and talked me through a diagnostic. It's possible that if I switch off the appliance for 24/36 hours and restart it, then it might be ok. Brill, now...if we eat all the food before it spoils and try the switch off tactic...fingers crossed...it might work. AND no charge for the consultation. It's worth a try before I pay £171 for a new circuit board....

Hi little_sweetie, what a price the first chap wanted!! Bless the other one for his advice, I do so hope it works for you and saves having to shelve out. Fingers crossed!

So sorry to hear about your dear Mum, wiggysgirl, your dear Dad too, Cinders, my dear Mum had Alzheimers too and also died 8 years ago. A horrible disease that takes our loved ones away long before they go in the real context of the meaning.

Just popping in to say hello! No pennies potted this week as we have had a rather nasty surprise, by way of some building maintenance repairs which need doing fairly quickly. Plus DH has had to have yet another repair to the car and we also have a fairly expensive weekend coming up. Hope everyone is managing pot lots of pennies and hopefully I will be back on track very soon. Take care everyone!

Oh dear, elizabunny, I hope the maintenance won't be too high, the car either, it's been all pay our for you lately. :(

I save just once a week, Bedsit Bob, only time we get to shop being out in the country, sooner live here than in town though for sure.

Just a quick one, can i put funds in i make from selling stuff from my house on Ebay or FB at all please? I sold something today for £120. Giving husband £30 for his night out, Im taking £30 for my pot if im allowed and £60 going towards little girls birthday presents.

Thanks a lot for answering Beth, Ruth.
    To anyone else wondering:

Yes, payments you get from goods sold on E-bay etc can be included in your SPC savings. Good luck.

A lot milder now thank goodness, now get ready for the rain...but this is England!
Have a lovely day, folks, and save well.
