Just popping in to say hello! No pennies potted this week as we have had a rather nasty surprise, by way of some building maintenance repairs which need doing fairly quickly. Plus DH has had to have yet another repair to the car and we also have a fairly expensive weekend coming up. Hope everyone is managing pot lots of pennies and hopefully I will be back on track very soon. Take care everyone!

Thanks Dreamer Helen for your post....

Mothers Day is always a tough time as my mum has had Alzheimers for 8 years now, but with everything else that has been happening, I'm glad it's over....

Had a no spend day today, so have decided to pot the spare pound in my purse....

Keep up the good work all ;)

Huge hugs ((((( ))))). My dad died from Alzheimer's 10 years ago, it's a horrible disease to watch somebody suffer from,

*Hugs to everyone that needs them*

After being disappointed for weeks that I couldn't find any roadkill, I found some in Burger King today when I was paying for my lunch! I saw 1p left on the counter so I discreetly picked it up and put it in my purse!
I also had 1p as part of the change I got from my lunch, so I'm putting 2p in the pot today.
I'd like to put more in, but it's not even reached the middle of the pay-month yet and our bank balances are scarily low, so apart from things I wouldn't use like 1ps and 2ps I'm not sure I'll be able to spare anything for my poor little pot for the rest of the month :(

Not looking forward to tomorrow, as it's my Great-Aunt's funeral *sigh* :(

Found a penny when looking for something so have potted that. Also was extremely good and avoided buying a big packet of jaffa cakes for a £1, for the second day in a row so am rewarding myself by potting the £1. Have other change in purse so will put some away. DD needs coppers for the Comic Relief coin carpet, I hope I have some that haven't been potted! ;) Also saved another £110 into the deposit savings, £57 of that was ebay profit from sales this week!! :D

We had lots of snow down our way, it took some of our friends over 8 hours to get home last night as the roads from Horsham and Brighton were chocka block!! On the plus side we had a snow day today which meant I could stay at home and look after DD with no guilt whatsoever!! :D

Thinking of you tomorrow dinglefoot. :heart2: It must be a very difficult time. I saw one of my uncles at the weekend at a family celebration, we weren't sure if he was going to make it till then but fortunately he did. He only has days left, it's so very painful when you say goodbye and you know that's the last time you'll ever see them. Sending you hugs. x

Crikey, it ain't half cold!! Too mean to whack the heating up a couple of notches; dead ringer for the michelin man this evening (but how very mse!)

Thank you for my birthday cake, crimson! Too full of pizza to eat it all at once, lol... found a very very reduced price yummy cake in T***o this evening to take into work tomorrow; I'm sure everyone will be looking at the chocolate and not the best before date tee hee!! (although it's only today's date so won't poison anybody) :rotfl:

Today's haul is a two pound coin in the cow pot and 30p in the sealed pot (change from posting an e*ay parcel). Lying low with NSDs for the rest of the week now as starting to feel like too much month at the end of the money again and we're only halfway thru :D

Hugs to all those who need them, especially those saying those hard goodbyes to beloved family xx

Keep warm and stay well; see you in a few days' time! ;)

    evening potters

5p roadkill in the pot yesterday courtesy of the PO floor.

Had a lovely mothers day, was brought a cup of tea in bed (was offered breakfast but as I have to pick all the chocolate out before I eat it I declined) and was handed a lovely handmade card, some revels and some Mr C flowers (see how DH is learning :D no overpriced interflora in this house :j :j)
Then it was over to Grans to give her a card and some lotions I won (dont do buying gifts :naughty:) played dominoes and hangman with the kids and then back home so I could make the dinner, they all scarpered leaving me to cook in peace, so in all a perfect mothering sunday :D

Now I have a bloomin blocked ear & sore throat which I think might be an ear infection as the other ear is starting to block up as well :( Got Doctors on thursday anyway for the next step in the 'why cant jakesmum eat anything' story so am pumping myself with paracetamol each night to get through till then when he can stick that ear thingy in my ear and see if it needs antibiotics
