Found 2p on living room floor and potted it, I think it had been being used by Small as play money

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Nice to see all the potting, from pennies to pounds.
Frugal week for myself, so not many chances to pot, but will hopefully pick up later in the week. Maybe I'll check down the back of the sofas?? lol

Good luck with your potting and stay warm.

Thought I'd stumbled into a gardening thread for a minute. :D

little_sweetie I'm sure you've tried this but just in case you haven't, is your freezer somewhere cold e.g. garage? I only ask cos Mum had a lot of trouble with her freezer couple of years ago, it's in her conservatory which faces north. After some repair attempts it turned out the conservatory was too cold! So the freezer kept cutting out. Something to do with the freezer being designed for a warm place e.g. kitchen and wouldn't work in the cold. Apparently you can buy special freezers designed to be kept in cold outhouses. Mad but true! So now when it's cold she puts a little heater near the freezer and it keeps it working. Hope that helps someone!
    Cheers Rx

Thanks, rosy but it's actually built into the kitchen unit so being too cold shouldn't be the problem.However...the chappie I spoke to said it's possible that something behind the cabinet could have frozen up over time ( bottles of water were being frozen in the fridge compartment at one stage )hence the advice to switch off for a prolonged period. I'll try anything once!

Today we have snow so stay warm everyone x

  • Back from shopping, and another 17p added.

That's 80p in the pot already, which isn't bad for 3 days. :)

wowzers! I don't think i've appreciated how much change you find until now!

Day off work today as another birthday has rolled around (yep, 39, he he) and my lovely mum gave me some money to spend on myself so I enjoyed doing just that, feeling relatively guilt-free, lol. Hence all the odd bits of change today, so Prudence the Pot (inspired naming by my friend!) is feeling well fed ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I am a little late but i hope you have had an amazing day!! :bdaycake: Don't eat it all in one go!

I have done no potting. However. This i plan to change drastically. I have another job, i start on Friday and its for three weeks initially but on top of my other job it means i'll be doing about 60 hours a week so i'm going to just use the amount i usually use for spending and stuff then save all the extra money and put a few small notes in my pot to reward myself for working so hard! woohoo!

I hope everyone is well. Its lovely and sunny here, when its not snowing! i wish the weather would make up its mind xx
