    Grocery challenge - £100 a week
    Weekly Spend Challenge - £40 :)
  • Well I had to break my tin open as it was full! £80 taken to the Post Office and changed for some lovely £20 notes, I'll admit it was tempting to spend it but I was good, came home and put them in my new pot :D

Amazing how quickly it all adds up!

Grr so bloomin cross, stupid Quakers have stopped making my cereal (which is a huge issue for me as pretty much every cereal on the market makes me ill :() been eating their substitute granola and that's making me ill as well!! so I'm back to cant have any breakfast :(

Took me 4 months to find their harvest crunch in the first place, and as someone who also can't eat crumpets, bagels, toast, croissants, muffins, pancakes, cereal bars, eggy breads, bacon, or pretty much any other type of breakfast related substitute I'm stuck with 'a cup of tea' for breakfast :'(

*Wanders off to sulk as she's hungry*

jakes-mum I don't know why, but where you put that Quakers had stopped making your cereal -I thought you meant 'The Quakers'. :rotfl::rotfl: (I am sorry though that they have stopped making it -so frustrating for you). Don't know what's wrong with me:D must be the 5:2 diet I'm on, fuddling my brain. Take heart! I am starving and all this talk of muffins and crumpets just won't do. I can't eat anything until tonight and then only 250 cals -it's a fast day. Even a cup of tea seems exciting at the moment.

Reporting in to declare my 15p in the piggy -not a fortune I know, but it might be by December:D

(((Hugs))) to all those who need one.

    Hi everyone,

Jakes-Mum that's awful! What kind of thing can you tolerate? Maybe we can all put our heads together and come up with a solution.

I have been poorly the past couple of days but feeling a bit better today. This means I ought to do the housework that is waiting but it will still be there when I am 100% so I am going to take another sofa/duvet day, watch rubbish tv and generally wish myself better.

I have a new tin (my third!) and hubby christened it with 10p and I have added £8 odd. It really does give an odd feeling of satisfaction as the money pops in!

Have a great penny saving day!

  • Could I please join the SPC 6 :)

Have a nice little pot that I have Decocrafted to make it pretty and am now wandering from room to room looking for pennies to go into it :)

Do you have different pots for silver and copper? I like doing crafts so may make myself some papier mache "Russian dolls" for different coin sizes xxx

Hi brittone05, you are most definitely welcome to join us, the more the merrier, I personally think this thread is the friendliest one here! Sue-UU (our leader and cheerleader-in-chief who really keeps us going) will be along with your number but in the mean time have a quick read of the first post for the rules/potting ideas.

I totally, completely recommend subscribing to the thread so that you don't lose us - it's a big forum out there! You can do this using the 'thread tools'option in the green bar above the posts and click subscribe. You can have the option to have emails sent that I rely on totally - I get sidetracked otherwise and forget to come here for the little chats and cheefulness that is this brilliant thread.

I love the idea of different pots for different coin sizes. You will have to show us some pics! My pots are just ones picked up from the 99p store hehe. I am not the most creative of people, I have ideas but somewhere between my head and my hands they get lost and everything ends up a mess!!

Welcome again and enjoy potting with us!
