Quick heads up before bed, I am shattered so going to snuggle up with a toasty hot water bottle for my cold feet!
Princely sum of 41p potted today, but better in than not, and lots of 41p's will help add up to something good later in the year!!
Sold two car seats for 20 pounds; that's gone straight in the holiday fund (but definitely saved and not spent!)
And a free pack of on-date gluten free sausages. Oh well, I never turn down free food, and they really were rather tasty, yum...
Goodnight all, and sleep well.SPC No. 104 (oh no I've lost my magic 2000!)
SPC 2013: £378.23 (paid for Christmas, yippee!)
Target for SPC 2014: £500

Mmmm, me too, Ruth, what you up to, Emily, eh??! Ah, whatever it is, if it spurs you on with saving then good for you.
BTW, Ruth, well done on your weight-loss! :T Meant to say it on Monday, but forgot, sorry. All the best in hanging onto your job!i am just about to go into town though and always get tempted to buy a lovely chicken and bacon roll for lunch.so i thought i'd be very good instead and put the £2.30 i would have spent in the piggy bank instead.:j
That's the way to save well, greenanne, do that every week and the lack of those rolls will certainly add up when you count up in November.Saver88 wrote:£1.66 potted today change from a prescription, hubby got tonsillitis so will be off work all week which means lack of money (no sick pay)
Oh, poor you, Saver88, poor hubby too! Keep pumping fluids into him. Best of luck financially.
Hi Helen, I see you're getting paid this week so why not safeguard yourself for any emergencies by putting some in a holding pot - then transferring it to your SP when you know you'll be ok.I will make a note on my phone to remind me to check in. I have fibro and at the moment my memory is atrocious, plus I am helping look after my mum two days a week who had a serious stroke last July.
Hi peony, no need to apologise for not having been on. You have plenty enough to concern you with your own illness as well as your poor Mum. When you have the time to visit it'll be lovely to see you, til then - take care and look after yourself!
Do you mean you pay yourself for ironing the shirts, gien? Darned good idea if it spurs you on. Must work on that myself.
Hi LC 2, have a lovely day shopping with your Ds-I-L.
haybel, I hope your knee is a little less painful today, just remember it's short-term pain for long-term gain!
beccah, I really do hope you're feeling a fair amount better today after your nose op, horrible things, but necessary!
There's some amazing saving going on here, folks, and it's really wonderful to see, but.................
.....to all those who are struggling with being able to save: Ride the storm, but don't worry as it gets you nowhere and won't change things! In time you'll most likely have a good spell and can pot then. Be patient and happy and remember, there's no prize for who gets the most.Have a lovely Wednesday, everyone, keep safe and healthy!Sue x

Hallo everyone,
Have decided to award myself £50 for the pot which I would have spent on cigs (and them some). Also now I have NSDs (a first for me) as I am not popping into our Asda as much to buy cigs and things I don't really need! I love it!!
Also added another £1.75 change from shop over the weekend.
DH took me to see Lincoln last night. Great movie, can highly recommend.
