    Morning everyone
Sorry been AWOL for a few days, finally done my SA for the tax man! Been potting my daily £3 plus change also potted £1.45 road change.

15 more " get up's" until our trip to Chicago & New York, it's getting really exciting in the sparky household now. I've been getting our itinerary together for things to see and do, and there's plenty I can tell you, the one I'm looking forward to the most is the gangster tour of old Chicago from the 20's

Everybody stay safe, keep safe & keep saving. ((Hugs)) to all who need them

Potting is addictive and the second thing I do when I return from work, first thing is to feed hungry cat! Have now started potting 10p's as well. On the plus side my lost £20 note I found in my car. Was so happy feels frustrating to save pennies and then be so careless. Anyway all good in the end.

Have decided to award myself £50 for the pot which I would have spent on cigs (and them some). Also now I have NSDs (a first for me) as I am not popping into our Asda as much to buy cigs and things I don't really need! I love it!!

Excellent news, Susanne!!!!! :T You're doing so very well and deserve to be feeling really proud of yourself! :grinheart

I have decided that where I manage to save money on special offers with my grocery shopping my pot will get the savings! (I don't have an income of my own so I feel that this is one way that I can add to the savings pot.)

That's the way to save, peony! Actually, for all those of us who don't have an income of our own it's an ideal way of ensuring savings.

cheers for all your good wishes with job hunting...... I will not be beaten! I have finished licking my wounds, rejigged the CV and started to apply for jobs.... there is one out there with my name on it!

Now Sue-UU how do I get one of your stars??? :D

Hi mishmogs, good for you in keeping chipper and sorting your CV out, no doubt the ideal job's ready and waiting for you. You do make me laugh with that German student. :D

BTW, gold stars are earned either by acts of kindness to fellow members or in giving lovely welcomes to new members etc, the type of things most folk do naturally...though the welcomes have to be pretty special! ;) Actually, mishmogs, thinking about it, you've put some nice things on in the past so I think you've already earned your 1st! Here, take care of this one :staradmin

Good to hear it's easing up, haybel, you'll soon be on all 4s grovelling for change!! :rotfl:

Oh, I loved the remark about the cow pot, Lindylou, though you wouldn't get much cash in a pat...or would you! :undecided I'll ask DH as he's an ex herdsman.

Very well done on your virtual pot, MissE001, it sounds ideal for you.

Brilliant news on the £1 roadkill, Emily, well done!!

Hiya sparky! Was only talking to T last night about you & J soon jetting off on your hols. I bet you two are like a couple of kiddies right now - and why not, excitement beforehand is half the fun of a holiday! You sure tis wise for you to go on a gangster tour? Beware any "wanted"posters don't resemble you just a tad too much! :rotfl:

Great news about the £20 note, emmita!!! :j Glad you're still finding it all so addictive, better savings that way. ;)

    Well done, skilly!

Have a good Thursday, everyone, stay safe and healthy....and potting!!

    Sue x

Grr so bloomin cross, stupid Quakers have stopped making my cereal (which is a huge issue for me as pretty much every cereal on the market makes me ill :() been eating their substitute granola and that's making me ill as well!! so I'm back to cant have any breakfast :(

Took me 4 months to find their harvest crunch in the first place, and as someone who also can't eat crumpets, bagels, toast, croissants, muffins, pancakes, cereal bars, eggy breads, bacon, or pretty much any other type of breakfast related substitute I'm stuck with 'a cup of tea' for breakfast :'(

I've got another wee virtual pot going that I started earlier this month and feels appropriate to share here too....got the idea from a bank advert of all things! I use my credit cards for cashback so whenever I spend anything on them, I transfer money from my current account to a virtual piggy so I've got the money there to pay the bill in full when it comes in. I've started rounding up the money I transfer - so if I spend £11.42 on my CC, I put £12 in my virtual piggy. That's coming along nicely - £5.18 this month.

lloyds do this, i really wish my bank did. It's a fantastic way of saving i think :) I hate using my CC, takes them far too long to take the money :(
