  • Thanks Wyre :) I will have a look this evening for some of those bulbous shaped balloons and set to work making some papier mache Russian doll ladies for my coins and perhaps start a spearate thread with pics etc. It is something I can do with the kids as well so they can start saving their pennies that they have lft over from tuck shop etc at school - certainly a rainy day craft project hehe

I do have a metal tin from the pound shop that my gran bought me which I think contains about £2.50 in copper so that will be the first thing going into my pot xxx

I am not setting myself a target aside from not touching pot until Christmas. Anything I can save in it will be a bonus xxx

My target has always been to save more than the year before so my first target was to save more than nothing haha. This year, i predict it being a lot harder!

I think I have nearly hit last year's target already but then I wasn't nearly as conscientous about potting and hadn't subscribed to the thread. It is sooo tempting to count it all but I want a big surprise. I wonder how many pots I will end up with by the end of November? I am going to guess at 7. Anyone want to join me in predicting?

Hi brittone05, you are most definitely welcome to join us, the more the merrier, I personally think this thread is the friendliest one here! Sue-UU (our leader and cheerleader-in-chief who really keeps us going) will be along with your number but in the mean time have a quick read of the first post for the rules/potting ideas.

I totally, completely recommend subscribing to the thread so that you don't lose us - it's a big forum out there! You can do this using the 'thread tools'option in the green bar above the posts and click subscribe. You can have the option to have emails sent that I rely on totally - I get sidetracked otherwise and forget to come here for the little chats and cheefulness that is this brilliant thread.

I love the idea of different pots for different coin sizes. You will have to show us some pics! My pots are just ones picked up from the 99p store hehe. I am not the most creative of people, I have ideas but somewhere between my head and my hands they get lost and everything ends up a mess!!

Welcome again and enjoy potting with us!

    Welcome brittone05:) ^^^^^^ :TWhat Wyre said :T ^^^^^^ (aren't I cheeky:p) so much better than I could:) I hope you'll have fun saving!
