That's wonderful news barbeduk both for you and your dad :Thopefulmoneysaver94 wrote: »Someone brought a real mink fur coat in to donate at the shop the other day! And I was told, (just as a woman came in and asked to see it, becasue we're not allowed to seel real fur on the floor) that we had first dibs if we wanted it before it was tagged to take it home!! But she ended up buying it..for £4000!!! nice bit for charity!! It was lovely! Dark brown and so soft! It's twin (white mink fur) is sat in the back ready to be tagged (everybody agreed that it should be sold as that's a h*ll of alot of money to go to charity in one go!) of which I shall have the pleasure of doing tomorrow!
Even though their so beautiful, I still (and never will!) agree with real fur clothing.
I will agree with you about not wearing real fur but what a fantastic amount for the charity! Well done! It's this weather.....it's so cold that our bodies are asking us to eat...so technically it's not our fault lol
xx
Brilliant! I'll hold onto that thought :rotfl::rotfl: but yes, lindylou, we must look after ourselves and become slim and elegant for the Spring once again
About 14p in coppers have found their way into my pot today. I can't go very far to shop 'cos it's been snowing again:cool:

Evening everyone,
I've been potting little and often...all from OH! Well I'm still scrimping and saving to pay for my car!
Just for once, I decided to do the housework in my dressing gown and yep, you have guessed it, a delivery came (it was a surprise hamper from my new cooker manufacturer purchased with the money I saved via this thread) nice surprise but I did feel a bit guilty at 10.15 this morning. Oh well, dont suppose I shall see him again!!
Isn't it always the way! If I ever sit down to do some planning in my dressing gown you can guarantee the doorbell will ring!Fabulous news, my father has been moved from hospital to a rehab unit and **drumroll** the carpark at the new place is free! So to celebrate I have just put a month's worth of parking fees in the pot! So happy Dad, happy pot!
Hope your Dad makes a quick recovery Barbeduk- I know how worrying it can be
DreamerHelen - I've been catching up with posts for so long I haven't had a chance to write this yet. I was thinking maybe you could have two pots, one sealed pot and one as a sort of emergency pot ? You could build up a small amount in the emergency pot then use this if you need to for unexpected bills or groceries. Then you could avoid dipping into your sealed pot and all the disappointment that leads to? Just a thought! 'Emergency fund' is on my to do list after 'renovate house'..."It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Evening all, potted a penny change and £1 for something from Mossy's Market.
I have been a domestic goddess this evening, made two pizza bases one we had for tea and the other is par-baked in the freezer ready to pull out at a moments notice. Also baked 10 cheesy rolls which I've just taken out of the oven, they smell yummy!!
Debating on whether to have a quick bath before big brother (I haven't really watched it for years but got it to it this time). I have a bit of a headache so think a soak would do me good but also need to be up to catch the 7.45 train in to school tomorrow so don't want a late night.
Hope everyone is well.Think I might take that bath as hopefully the rolls will cool down ready for me to fill for lunch tomorrow.

oldhat I notice that you edited your post so that you could add your SPC number. If you add it to your signature it will automatically come up for you each time so that you don't need to worry about remembering it.
It's really easy to add something to your signature. Just look at the green bar above these posts and click on the user cp and then on the left hand side there is a list called your control panel, click on edit signature and pop your SPC number in plus anything else you want.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Well joined this challenge and did not realise how difficult it will be for me. Not out house often, so dont have change often either.
However I have emptied purse of change, all 42p of it. But will keep at it and hope that as the year goes on get out more.

Aww bless ya Gailcm don't feel disheartened. If you're not going out much then it means you're not spending either!!
Don't forget that when you do go out if you abstain from buying something that you don't really need you can put all that money in too.
