Just an idea, how about cutting a hula hoop in half and sewing the top of the quilt to it and use the hoop to hang it?

Ooh that's a thought, I'll have a look in the toyshops this weekend, thanks!

OMG!!!! someone have a word with DS!! got woken up this morning to the sound of a smashing bowl (which he assured me he had cleared up properly, yet I still had to go over the entire kitchen floor with the dustpan and brush picking up the bits that miraculously appeared afterwards) then got him to unload the dishwasher and he drops not 1, not 2 but 3 more cereal bowls  then turns on the hoover to clear it all up and blows it up

DH had to do a dash to the local shop to buy some more bowls as we had 1 left and thankfully we had a second henry hoover in the shed that we robbed the top off.

Seriously, how accident prone can one child be? have told him he get the last of the old bowls to use, hes banned from touching the new ones till they are at least 6 months old :o
Oh he's in that stage! The one where they grow 3 inches overnight and lose all control of their arms and legs :rotfl:
I can remember dropping the sugar bowl so often when I was that age Mum banned me from touching it but I still managed to knock the spoon out of it a few times and fling sugar everywhere :rotfl:
Mind you I'm not much less clumsy now so maybe that was just me...
    Potted 6p. Good times :T

Hi everyone. Lots of snow here today. As I had sick children last week (at least 1 off each day, 3 on wed), and school closed this week, I haven't gone anywhere out of the village for 11 days now. Not great for potting but great for NSD's :j. I did manage for find 50p to pot after giving put pocket money today. DH suggested a drink in the pub tonight so there might be change after that. Will keep you posted.:rotfl:

Noone would mind if you joined, in fact we would love to have you :)

Sue will come along shortly and give you a number. In the mean time please read the first post of this thread so you know what's what. There are some really useful tips on there too!

You can start potting as soon as you have some pennies and somewhere to put them.

Have fun and keep us updated and we will do our best to encourage you :)

I can sense your hesitation in asking to Join...but don't worry, this is one of the friendliest Threads on MSE and you will be instantly welcomed with open arms....In fact, here are mine "Spreads arms" LoL :D

Just get a Pot...doesn't have to be anything fancy...even an old coffee tin will be fine...seal it up with tape or glue (although that could get messy LoL :rotfl:) and then just start saving...

When Sue gives you a Number do be sure to put it in your Sig....Just go to "User CP" at the top of the Page and then along the side of the Page I think it says "Edit Signature" and then you can put your number in there...it helps Sue and Spark-sparky-sparkylicious (my new name for you!! :D) at the end of the Year.

Also, do subscribe to the Thread by using the Thread Tools at the top of the Page....that way you can always find us...

Apart from that, just join in...let us know how you're doing and join in with the crazy people on here...Oh wait, it's just me that is crazy...The rest are very normal people with good savings goals... :rotfl:

Anyway...that was just my VERY long-winded way of saying Welcome to the Thread...xxx
