Oh go on trev! I am much better looking than Victor Meldrew so I find plenty to smile about too! No chance of finding me buried up to my neck in my own garden by any dissenter either:-)mystic_trev wrote: »Ahhh but Peter (Victor Meldrew) Baker wouldn't be happy unless he was unhappy which is why he keeps going back - a repeat unhappy customer !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I am a repeat customer - that's because they go my way. But I have seen improvements (like the dumping of the 732s and the standardisation on 738s) and I have seen deterioration (like the rapid ageing of the same 738s which don't half wear out fast under this kind of regime). I just want to keep up awareness on the problems and potential because Ryanair is breaking far too much new ground to be allowed to self-regulate. As have said before, Michael O'Leary often makes me smile when I see him on tv, but that's not enough. I will I am sure continue to fly with them unless he suddenly directs his webmasters to reject all my bookings!
You may find that some of what has apparently been written on the internet about Ryanair has been censored or just isn't where the Google link says it should be. Ryanair employs an active legal team I think.
I have just read through the extensive Wikipedia article on Ryanair, having never before read it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryanair
It is I think a very balanced article, and if it were not so, I am sure Ryanair would have had it changed.0 -
I have also flown with Ryanair twice and both my flights were on time and reasonably priced.
My friend also flew out to visit me abroad and the Ryanair flight costed almost a third of the price than getting the cheapest train ticket to visit me in England would have been.
If anything needs sorting out its the shocking UK train service and their disgraceful prices.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
Just catching up with the posts from the last few days as I`ve been away thanks to a dirt cheap flight down to Malaga thanks to EASYJET.
The truth of the matter is that the low-costs are doing a great job and giving the public exactly what they want
CHEAP FARES.
People can now afford to jet off for long weekends and mid week breaks and it`s all down to the likes of Michael O`Leary and Stellios.0 -
Another positive vote for ryanair. Went to dublin from doncaster for 20 quid return, a round of drinks in dublin nearly cost as much0

Another great bargain from Michael today.
Total cost £21-40 Stan to Girona mid May.0 -
"If your flight is cancelled or before the date of travel, is rescheduled so as to depart more than three hours before or after the original departure time then you will be entitled to a travel credit or full refund of all monies paid if the alternative flight/s offered are not suitable to you and you do not travel. "
Hi Alared, Could I please ask you something here about your last post and about if your flight is changed by more than three hours you can get a refund. We were supposed to fly with Globespan in January to Portugal. Our flights were supposed to leave at 3.30. We had been away for weeks before this trip but even tho away I was checking my emails every day. We arrived at the airport super early about 11.30 and waited until 1.30 and could not see a counter opening up for Globespan to Portugal so I went up to a Globespan counter for another place and asked them were we in the right place. They said the flight had left at 10.00 that morning and for us to go to the ticket counter. At the ticket counter they said that we had been emailed about the flight change. If we were emailed then it must have gone into my junk mail but the funny thing is the confirmation email from them went into my regular email. We contacted them about this as we had lost our trip, our transfers and our hotel for two weeks. They said they had told us of the cancellation by email and that was our problem. From your post in here are you saying that we had the right to cancel if it was three hours different than the time we booked? Is that a regulation that is enforcable if they changed our flights by more than three hours? As it is we lost everything our tickets, hotel and transfers and ended up with no holiday at all. Any comments or help would be appreciated. Is this an EU regulation regarding flights? Thanks Taffy0 -

The quote above was taken from RYANAIR`s T&C`s.
I cannot comment about Globespan as their T&C`s may be different.
You would have to read their T&C`s to see exactly what their rules are.
It could be that any alterations to the time of your flight could be done by email or telephone and not in writing.
I know on the Ryanair site that it does tell you that you should check the time of your flight close to the travel date because of any alterations.
I`m sorry I can`t be of more help, maybe others will offer their opinions.
Again, and I hate to keep repeating it,read the T&C`s for EVERYTHING,then you`ll know exactly where you stand if the worse happens.0 -
