Ryanair - 20 years of hassle free flights

I'm a little bit fed up with the amount of slagging of they've been getting on this forum, so thought I’d start a more positive thread.

I've flown with Ryanair for over 20 years (shortly after they started) and never had a problem.

My first flight Luton - Dublin return cost £100. My last flight with them to Seville £46 return. How many other things have dropped in price in the last 20 years?

So well done Mr O'Leary, I'm sure I'm not the only happy returning customer. Give yourself a pat on the back!

    I'm loving Ryanair too.

The flexibility to book single leg flights has meant that, combined with two other budget airlines, I have been able to do a 4 sector trip for less than £120.

Ryanair has also opened up the possibility to easily go to places that would have otherwise taken hours. We can fly to Knock in an hour, a journey that would otherwise have been a two day journey! x

I too think Mr O'Leary is doing a great job.
I have had many £25 return flights to Spain and I`m quite amazed at the value when I can`t even get a return train fare to London for that.
    (a distance of 70 miles)

If people READ Ryanairs T&C`s instead of guessing or "thinking" what they are, a whole lot of hassle could be avoided.
The tickets are dirt cheap and if you stick to the T&C`s,you can`t go wrong.

Mr O'Leary doesn`t care if you forgot your passport, got stuck in traffic, arrived at the check-in a minute late, ran out of petrol, broke down on the motorway.
It`s not his problem,he`s there giving you cheap travel.

I've only flown with Ryanair twice but my experience is that the flights took off on time (from my local airport), landed on time and cost very little. I didn't expect anything more than that and was not disappointed.

Hurrah a thread with good things to say about ryanair.

I too am more than happy to fly ryanair, if it wasn't for them i'd be having wet weekends in wales camping instead i'm jetting off to places like sardinia, bratislava and rome.

As long as you treat it like a glorified bus journey and accept that you have to play the game by their rules you'll be fine.

I too have been very impressed with ryanair, flown to Stockholm and to dublin and been impressed both times I got the flights for 1p plus tax. Cant grumble can you?

The only thing I would say, is Id prefer a better selection of food on board to buy. I jsut dont fancy a cupasuop at 5.30 am!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

Me too. Ive visited Ireland, France, Spain, Italy for £30 return. The longest delay has been 20 minutes. Staff have always been courteous.
My expectations are not high but as mentioned, I assume nothing, am aware whats included ,whats not. I also have contingency plans for if it goes t1ts up ie I know and carry my EU passenger rights, have adequate travel insurance, always pay by CC and have enough emergency funds available to cover any mishaps.
Their incredible expansion is proof that their no frills service is successful

I love flying ryanair as well living in N/Ireland the price to use ferries are so dear its cheaper for me to drive 100 mile and use them flying from Dublin and fly to the likes of Spain ,ie 3 weeks ago got flights to Reus for £55 return after the euro rate ,tryed Easyjet from Belfast but found they have caught on to the fact there are very little flights to foreign destinations so price accordingly so only wish that they could flight from Belfast

I've been places I would never have otherwise seen without Ryanair and the other low cost carriers that have copied them.

And without them we wouldn't have the affordable prices that BA and others once charged.

Most people can't remember the cost of internal / European flights 10 / 15 years ago, especially if you didn't stay a Saturday night - astronomical.

So cheers Ryanair, I'll raise a glass to Michael O'Leary even if I can't stand the arrogant little twerp!

the british public owe a great deal to michael o leary and stellios, its just a shame that the bad press that gets heaped on oleary and very little praise

the truth is a million bums on seats over easter with ryanair, its nothing to be ashamed off admitting you like ryanair:T
