Talk about priorities! There are people in some countries who queue for food to survive. To those who got a bag - well done. To those who didn't - get over it!"When you want something said, ask a man.
When you want something DONE, ask a woman" - Margaret Thatcher0 -

Is there no way of removing auction once people have bid on0 -
Congrats to Sainsburys, I say.
After the farce of the Nintendo Wii launch where staff at Tesco snapped up practically every machine before it hit the shelves and Marks and Sparks where staff grab all the mega bargains before the doors open, this was a breath of fresh air.
Queued from 6.15am, tickets given out at 6.50am when 30 in queue.
Waited an hour in the canteen, watching as ladies ran in at 7.55 and started giving the staff a hard time about it being a scam.
The bloke at the store I was at had waited all night, he was a cleaner at the store and had stood outside since 10pm.
There was no priority for staff but quite a few were there queuing like everyone else from 6am.
As for selling/not selling on eBay , surely that is up to the individual. If people really wanted a bag all they had to do was set their alarm and stand in line.0 -

They could have removed bids if they thought they were false bids
I hate people on ebay that throw false bids on items to ruin auctions as it is not on as everyone has a right to re-sell any item for a profit but this some people that ruin auctions are just jealous because they missed out on making money so they think they have the right to ruin someones auction0 -
Just wanted to say thanks to the original poster.
Both myself and my mum wanted one so got to the store at 7.20 to be 20 and 21 in the que. (the store was due to open at 8am)
Sainsburys staff came out with teas and coffees and then at about 7.40 they gave out raffle tickets and asked the que to move over.
Then at about 7.50 they moved the que in through the exit door so the que was by cutsomer services and then satrted selling the bags at 8am.
It was all very well handled. Oh and the store only had 29 as they allocated one to a charity auction (Or so they said!!)0 -
I got to sainsburys at 7.25am with 2 kids in tow to be told they'd sold all their bags at 7 - AGH!!! they'd given tickets out as soon as store opened at 7 as there was already 33 people in line. Spoke to one girl who had queued at 4am who had one and was gonna keep it - not ebay it. ended up buying the kids breakfast in sainsburys and a comic each for behaving themselves and getting ready quickly - so a complete non money saving morning for me!0

Thanks for the posting, this is all over the news today

I arrived at 7.15am and I got ticket number 100! Lucky that the store has 120 in stock. The ticket system were well managed and the SA inform those 'late' comers that the quota has all gone.
The bag itself worth the fiver. I can imagine people paying upto 30 pounds for the designer label, but no way for over 100 pounds!0 -
feel very happy as got 1 (2 actually read on) wasn't going to go even though local had 90 bags they said they had taken hundreds of calls about it, mum called me from the queue at 7.15 to say she was No 38 so i left 2 kids with brother and dashed there at 7.35 i was No 46 in queue so got my bag very happy:T
Only for hubby to call me at 9ish to say (bless him) on his way to work at 7.20 he past his local sainsburys (penge, london) only for there to be 8 people in the queue so he decided to join and he got me one! Now hoping he won't mind if i give it to my friend who desperately wants one and is having a bad time, although he did say if i sold it i could use the money to get a nice pair of shoes or some clothes bless him0 -
