I would also like to agree, selling something on ebay like this bag, if it goes for 200 then it just means there were 2 silly people going mad bidding on it - its out of the sellers hands.
Did see a listing on ebay, where the seller was asked the question by a buyer:
"Could you please confirm that all of the profit for this bag is going to the charity"
Very strange as no where on the auction page did it say the seller was giving money to charity.
Anyway - its all for publicity, nothing to do with being eco friendly - don't Sainsburys think of all the fruit and veg they are buying for pennies from all over the world and the carbon footprint they are leaving. Not to mention the excess packaging everything comes in..........OK rant over now....0 -
Got to Sainsbury Bourne at approx 7.45am and the SA was saying 2 tickets left, I ran up (everybody laughing) saying "me me me" then pretended not to know what they were all queuing up for. The SA came back and indicated she would like the ticket back but I said I knew it was the queue for the Anya Hindmarch bag.
Some people had queued since 4.30am! There were 30 bags and I was number 29. We were also talking about people selling them on Ebay and the general consensus of opinion was - its up to the individual. If you took the trouble to get there early and get a bag the decision was yours.
Also some people were still joining the queue but the SA was telling them all the tickets had been distributed. A few people were a bit disappointed and we had a bit of a mini gloat but that's human nature. There was a guy in our queue who had been asked by his girlfriend to get one for him. I said he'd get loads of browny points but he reckoned she'd forget about it within a couple of weeks! He must love her.0 -

Wonder how many people got the later bus to work and arrived late with their new shopping bags xxx;)This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. Me and my cousin arrived at Linlthgow (west lothian) store at 6.50am. And were 8 and 9th in line. Was suprised that there wasnt more waiting. By 7.30, all 30ppl had lined up. About 10mins later were given our tickets.
Now in 2 minds weather to ebay mines. As the money would b handy towards a real designer bag. Hmmm, my cousin is gonna e bay hers for holiday money.
Heads up, sign up to http://www.anyahindmarch.com to recieve their newsletter. About when they will sell the green , and blue on these "i'm not a plastic bag" Which are expected to be sold early MAY!!! Not long, and i think these coloured ones will send the prices of the cream ones down. The blue bag is for the USA in June, and green for japan in July..........................A smile and manners doesnt cost any thing0 -
I would well ebay the bag if I had one while the are going for good money and make a very big profit as buyers are fools for paying £150+ for these bags0

i was no 31 in the queue but im fine about it, honestly.............Great Sage, equal of Heaven.0

I'm really disappointed in the number of people who are using this site to make a quick buck to the detriment of fellow money savers who are kind enough to share their money saving tips.
The fact that some people are buying bags that they don't really want (when many others do) simply to sell them, I think is really sad and it's certainly put me off sharing in the future.0 -
"Designer" at £5? Who's kidding who. Great publicity spin - just shows you can sell anything and there will always be a fool who will part with their money.

It is now policy to ask the customer if they want packing. If they do, we have to do it, regardless of how long it takes!I was in sainsburys yesterday and the checkout girl was packing everyones items (in basket only cashier) - it was taking so long, but maybe this is a new policy for everyone to stop taking more bags than necessary. But saying this i re use my plastic carrier bags as bin liners in study/bedroom/bathroom/kitchen bins - so if i wasn't using carriers i would probably be buying some other kind of plastic bag."When you want something said, ask a man.
When you want something DONE, ask a woman" - Margaret Thatcher0
