Limited Edition designer shopping bag on sale ONE DAY ONLY at Sainsburys 25th April

"I'm not a plastic bag" - A large re-usable shopping bag costing £5

I read about this designer recycled shopping bag a while ago - apparently all the celebs are using them. Only a limited number have been made and they are sold out online and in Anya Hindmarch's shop. However, selected Sainsbury stores will be selling them for one day only on the 25th April. Sadly no store near me will be stocking them, but I thought I would share the information here. It would be great to hear if any MSEs get one!

You can read about them on the Sainsbury site here:
http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shoppingandservices/FAQs/sainsburys_faqs/anya_hindmarsh_shopping_bag.htm

And the Anya Hindmarch site here:
http://www.anyahindmarch.co.uk/division/environmental_bags.aspx

The list of stores that will stock the bags is here (pdf file):
http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/NR/rdonlyres/1EF79FB2-2F3A-432C-98E7-03B6BF3AE63D/0/Storelist7.pdf

From the Sainsbury site:
Because of the very limited amount of bags, Sainsbury's has made the following rules to ensure that as many of our customers who would like a bag, can get one in the fairest way possible:

Bags will be sold from 8am on Wednesday 25th April on first come first served basis.
  • No bag orders or reservations of the bag will be accepted.
  • The bag will be limited to one per customer
  • The bag is not available to buy online.
  • Please note that we expect the limited amount of bags per store to sell out very quickly on the morning of the 25th April.
  • Unfortunately there are no more bags being made for the UK market
.

Anyone know how to post a picture of the bag here?

I read about these bags a while back, they went for daft money on ebay.

Might set the alarm and try to 'bag' myself one...

    Doh!

Stop it with the sharing and caring posting will ya?;)

How am I supposed to get one if you keep telling everyone else? :D:rotfl:

I'm really peeved its the 25/4 - I'll be stuck in a hospital ward with my daughter & when I asked my husband to pop to sainsbury's at 8am he just did this at me > which I think, in a word, meant 'not a hope in hells chance love'.

Its a really nice bag & I'd LOVE one :)

but I wont be able to afford the ebay prices 3 days later
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

Were these on sale earlier on at Sainsbury's as I'm sure I saw them at my local one but didn't realise at the time how desirable it was - DOH!

"Please note that most stores selling the bag will only have 30 bags."
......... what are the chances of the general public bagging one? Can see this being a "staff only" promotion
