omg! me want one!
do we still get nectar points for buying one of these bags?
but have to decide whether it's worth losing 1 hour's sleep over this, bet there will be a queue already formed at 7am (or even earlier). and did the likes of keira knightly and kate moss really only pay £5 for these bags as well?0 -
Ha-ha, we won't hold our breath in Scotland - a whopping 13 stores are going to be selling them - and surprise, surprise, the one near me won't be!!!0

My local is stocking them but I can't decide how early to go for.
If I went at 7am and there was a massive queue, I would be really hacked off:eek:Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -

I really wish they were doing this on Saturday instead to give us mums who need to get kids to school a chance to get one. I would love one, but my nearest store is a 30 min drive away. I could ask my mum to get one for me, but she would think it was absolutely bonkers queuing up for a £5 designer shopping bag (she doesn't get the whole designer thing) - but to be honest, she is probably right!
I hadn't looked at these on Ebay when I started the thread, but OMG, I just looked and one ended today at £99 - a Buy it Now price!!! It probably is just as well I won't be getting one then, because I want one to keep, but would almost feel obliged to sell it if they go for that much!
Free Bags for Life on Friday 27th
By the way, we all need to be heading back to Sainsburys on Friday 27th as they are giving out free 'bags for life' - usually 10p - as many as you need I think, instead of the usual free carrier bags.

My local store also told me they were issuing tickets to the first 30 people in the queue. The store manager & security staff will be there to oversee this.
She also told me that staff are not allowed to buy them unless in the queue with members of the public.:j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0 -

There has been a three page document release to the relevant stores detailing the strict procedure to follow for the sale of these bags.
Bags been deliverd on the 23rd to all stores (Despatch Letter issued from Head Office Stamford Street London to Basingstoke and Daventry Distribution Warehouses)
If you know someone who works at sainsburys you may be able to get one on the tuesday
don't be surprised when the store opens and they have no bags left or do not know anything about it.0 -
Honestly, what is so great about this bag? I just don't get it. It's a reusable bag, granted, but just because it's a designer bag and celebrities carry them around, does that really mean we all need to go crazy and either park ourselves in front of Sainsburys at the crack of dawn or buy one for silly money on ebay??? Or are you all planning to sell them on ebay yourselves in true MSE style?Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Unless anyone here is making £75 a hour, its a good way of paying towards my summer holiday ;P
Nah but seriously, society is all about relative values. The actual value of this bag isn't much, but the fact that it's limited in quantities and celebs have them, they become more valuable compared to other bags.
still deciding whether to try for one 0
