  • I emailed the Coop about £35 of bonus vouchers that I never used about 3 years ago. They are going to reissue them to me. I wouldn't have even thought about asking had it not been for this site. Thanks everyone for motivating me!
    Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

    Save £10,000 Jan-May 2022 THEN RETIRE!!
Final total for (half) year: -£4,000
  • Helo all, everyone is doing great! Got a quidco payment today which I've sqirrelled away, another £41.45 and on target for £300 into the regular saver after payday. I'm doing the grocery challenge on the os board and it's really focussed my mind on unnecessary spends. Just need to start selling the pile of kids clothes that is cluttering up the house.
  • £9.40 for me today ( rounding off current account to the nearest £10. Total so far £215.49. Waiting on an Amazon payment clearing and cheque from sale of old iPad too :)

A quick question. How can I update the forms?

ignore my previous questions. Just found out!
  • Sent an old platinum ring in to Hatton Gardon Metals, so will have a bit more money to save soon I hope. :)

I wish I could open a regular saver account, but I got turned down for the 1st Direct current account I need to do that. Guess they want me to be on the electoral roll. Oh well, I'll just put more in shares or something.
  • How annoying - I thought I had over £60 from Eb** sales but one item hasn't been paid for so I've had to open an unpaid case. Will probably end up relisting the item. Oh well, I suppose it'll sell for a second time and hopefully the next buyer will stump up the money. I intend to list some more items next week and once my total reaches £100 I'll transfer the money into my savings account.

It's been a bit of a funny Christmas/New Year regarding wages.I usually get paid every 2 week's but because of the way the festive season has fell the wages dept decided to pay us weekly to make sure we got paid!
After a quick visit to my online account, and a few swift calculations with the old direct debit's,i reckon ive got a spare £250 and ive still got another payday to come before the end of the month!!
So that will be £200 i stuck away at the start of the month, another £250 ive just worked out to be spare, and hopefully at least another £300 spare in my next wage, which will take it to £750 in total for January's savings!!Ive set myself a target of £6000,if i can keep it up my target should be reached by the end of August :)
Now that's not bad going(providing i can keep it up)for someone who has never saved a penny in his life!(Gives himself a pat on the back)lol.
