Set up two FD Reg savers for the year (one for me and one for the missus
) so I'm now at £600/£12,000.
I've also increased my work pension contributions so that should be ~£400 per month now too, which gives me a nice round £1k per month so that I can hit my target of £12kI was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -

I've just put a few items for sale that I won't be using any time soon...would be lovely to shift them and get some money coming in!
I checked my credit card statement today and I'm quite pleased to say that I really did spread the cost of Christmas this time round, which means I should be able to save a decent amount on pay day this month0 -
I'm a little late but would like to join!
The missus and myself are planning to save £15k (but we'll say £14k to be safe!!) for a house deposit this year.
Although we are going to continue to make this circa £20k in 2014..
I opened an ISA a few days ago and have put £300 in for starters. We are only be able to put in £400 from January's pay day, but after that we are able to put in £1200-1500 a month typically. Although there will be a few months a few large amounts will go out, i.e. my car insurance, missus' driving test, birthday's, trips to London, etc.
Good luck everyone!0 -
I've noticed i'm down at £10,000, when I meant £5,000 (sorry it was confusing I have a tendancy to ramble... )If it's no bother could you change it to £5,000 please?
Anyway well done to everyone that's managed to save money so far...
