Officially starting the challenge today (2nd is a Scottish Bank Holiday so I'm using that as an excuse!)
I have transferred £139.85 into my savings account, not too sure if I will be able to make any other savings this month as my car insurance is due on the 21st (multicar) and I normally pay it in one.
I am doing Christmas vouchers so at least I'll know where my funds stand.0 -
£200 in mine so far for the year.0

And we're off - just put £250 into my brand new Regular Savings account. Will update my signature and the spreadsheet now.Sober October = 0 alcohol free days

I am eyeing up our accounts to start juggling things around but I ideally want to wait until Jan payday as for us traditionally January is a bit of a tight month! I am cutting costs where I can though for example I am trying to use the car less, I have meal planned for the whole month and I am living on the old style forum lol! Every day I am seeing it as a new challenge to save!
Good luck everyone.Save 8k in 2013: Member #100

Hello again all!
I cannot believe my luck, it's still sinking in, got a call from an agency this afternoon, offering me a go at another p/t job!
They interviewed me straight away and are pushing me as a strong candidate. Am keeping everything crossed that they set me on..
Don't want to jinx it, but, it would mean a 40 hour week with both, and the chance to actually save my target!
That's without scrimping.... So from nowt to a possible 40 hour week within a few weeksMiracles do happen....
Still shocked

Yeah that's probably a good point, what I think I'll do is get myself organised by sorting things out every week so that when the free listing weekends come around, it's all ready to go. Last year I must have missed about 70% of the free listing weekends because I was busy and by the time I remembered it was too late ( ie couldn't be bothered digging things out!) so I waited for the next one and so the vicious circle continued!!:o0 -
Fingers crossed for you BessieBooBoo! Keep us informed!!Save 8k in 2013: Member #100

My savings are back down to £180 as i just paid off the first off my debt since 2008 at £220
was painful but its done.
also had a rake through cupboards etc and found a fair few bits for fleabay so hopefully should have that back up to £400 via ebay.
Payday tomorrow aswell0 -
Another £30 to the savings today, £100 out of £20,000 now. The £30 was money I was owed from last year I had almost forgotten about, got it back today and don't need it so straight in the funds. So need £19,900 now to hit my target. At my rate of £100 every 4 days, only gives me just over £9,000, I require more than double this so I better crack on!!:eek:Living frugally at 24
