Well, I think somewhere along the way I missed a month's figures as I appear to have completed July's number last month.

Anyway, works out as £1429.40 for July but have added this to the totals I put in bringing me up to just shy of £7k.

Trying my best to cut down on the spending as I'm definitely not being as good as I can remember I was a year or 2 ago when I first started out getting my finances in order.

Good news is...I can be looking at buying a second flat/house in under a year's time - hopefully start properly looking next June with the hope of purchasing something in the summer. Probably will end up being a BTL though as I won't be able to afford the house of my dreams just yet - it's soooo expensive here :-(

Well, 5 pay days left with £6k to save. I think I may have to get the business brain into gear and maybe stick things on eBay if this is going to happen!

Well done on everyone else's progress - it's great seeing how everyone's going :D

£750 for July, it was actually £950 but I had to move £200 back to take as holiday spends.

I've got quite a few things I can put on ebay, so will do that over the weekend to try and grow the total.

So this month has been so very busy!
Work is ridiculously busy as its August, and I am preparing for the move, so this month has flown by! But being busy, means lots of overtime, and nice wages and no time to spend anything.... so the totals are.....

    Standing Order - £1000.00
    Regular Saver 1 - £250.00
    Regular Saver 2 - £250.00
    Online Saver - £1312.17

    Grand Total of £2812.17

I've done really well this month and every penny counts when you buy a house, so am pleased that I've ended up with a good total this month!

Everyone who is still in this thread is doing so well! I am always amazed and motivated by reading everyone's updates and totals!!

And slowlyfading you are amazing!! It never goes unnoticed of the time and commitment that you put into this thread! x

Well, I have done pretty well this month, I had hoped to have saved 500, and well I got pretty close on the savings front, but I have decided not to deposit it into an account so I won't actually count it as savings :(

But the reason is that I am moving flats on the 21st and I'm meant to be paying the deposit next week (rental). Its more expensive than where I am at the moment but its not too much of a problem savings wise as I have properly budgeted everything (with a slight over budget) and I should still carry on at the same savings rate but having skipped this month.

So glad for everyone else though, it seems that there is a lot going on recently with holidays, house moves and more big events, but everyone is still pushing on with the savings, even if there are small hiccups!

    Hi everyone :hello:

Is it okay for me to join so late in the year?

I've already saved £3,660 since June.

I've just been declined a mortgage :( so feeling the need to make huge savings this year to make myself feel better.

Could I go on for the full £12,000 by Dec 31st please? I know I can safely save £9,500. Just need to make up the other £2,500...

Far reaching? Probably, but hey, it's a goal:money:

    Can I join?? Thank you!:D

Just read your post and wondered if you have any idea how much you have spent on your new baby so far. My first little bean is due around xmas and I have no idea how much a baby typically costs, once it arrives.

Any tips or words or wisdom you can pass on? :)
