Amen to that!! Road tax this month and insurance due middle of August!! Road tax has gone up, insurance come down alot since i turned 22 since last renewal and that extra year old + another years no claims has halved my insurance in a year. Still the company im with sent me a renewal at £515, went on their site and its down to £390! How about rewarding a bit of loyalty!! My renewal quote was going to be an extra £25 to change my address aswel so would have been £540 as opposed to cancel and start again its £150 cheaper. Makes no sense!

Congratulations for tomorrow, anything special planned? You are one of the only ones on this thread im sure is male!!

Ha Thanks, our anniversary consisted of breakfast at a local cafe, then I did the romantic thing and went off to Pre-season footy training in the afternoon, but I kept the Missus sweet by taking her to a local restaurant that I had heard good reviews about! It didnt let me down either, it was a lovely meal! Well done on getting the car insurance down, spending an extra hour searching for quotes can end up saving you some decent cash!

After payday + bonus, interest on savings account and some spare holiday money, I have put £865.60 away. All updated using the link and in my sig.

5 more paydays to go before I start getting maternity pay. Hopefully would have smashed the £5k target though to tide me over for a while :)

    July update from me!

My new total is £69,148, so I managed to save £967 in July! Quite pleased with that.

I'm still aiming to save £13,000 in 2013 - I've saved £6,948 so far, so it'll be very challenging to save £6,052 in the next five months. But we'll see!

Very exciting to be almost at the £70,000 mark :D

I've just been reading through, you lot should all be so proud of yourselves.

Confession: I've been feeling a bit crap because my 2013 savings haven't been as good as I'd planned, but seeing that I've saved almost £7,000 so far this year has made me feel really positive. That's not bad at all!

Also, I haven't done any eBay selling in ages, so there's still potential for making a few extra quid before the year is out.

    http://www.livingsocial.com/deals/800606-ps50-to-spend-on-your-first-grocery-order?ref=mobile-email-share-pre-purchase

If you fancy it, give me a pm for the code to get the £5 off(deal above says £25) and I'll talk you through it. It states new customer only but you just need a new email address I've been a 'new' customer a few times before so it deffo works.
