    It's 31/07/2013

By the end of the year I'd like to save £6,000

I'll be saving about £1000 a month, if not more depending on how much commission I make, but definitely at least £1000...

I'll do monthly updates on how much I actually save :)

If you fancy it, give me a pm for the code to get the £5 off(deal above says £25) and I'll talk you through it. It states new customer only but you just need a new email address I've been a 'new' customer a few times before so it deffo works.

    Edit: SOLD OUT :(

Thanks so much Nat! It let me buy one. Chuffed to bits :D

    Hi all,

Another month completed and this one has been good savings-wise: no unexpected costs this month so there's £1640 added into the spreadsheet - thanks SF!

Finally managed to get my Halifax RCA set-up and from next month my salary and direct debits will all be sorted, so that's 60 quid p.a. added into the coffers. I've also filled my Cash ISA for the year now, so OH will be setting one up for the next £5760 of our savings. Once that one is full, I've no idea where to put the rest of the year's savings - any ideas??? (I'm not keen on the idea of stocks and shares).

    Happy saving everyone!

Ended up saving £857.57 this month which I'm happy about. It was a financially tough start to the year with the house purchase, but things are getting back to normal now :)

    Thanks slowlyfading :)

A £650 payment plus £8.53 interest to start off the month, more to come when it is payday :D
  • Well July has been good to me, off on holiday for 3 weeks and I paid 3 months advertising in local paper, still saved £2,603 on top of that. Balance of savings has leaped from £5,497 to £8,100!! Another £2,603 for August would maybe put a smile on my face but got van insurance to pay, which I pay in a lump sum so £2,000 looks more realistic so hopefull this time next month the balance is over £10,000!! Feel like I'm finally getting somewhere after Julys leap in savings!

In bad news, looks like my holidays aren't going to happen :-(
