Having a bad month :-(
My recent spending sprees (bed, laptop, shopping, car insurance, MOT etc) have caught up on me so don't think there will be money leftover at the end of June to move into my savings.
I need a new mattress as well and have also been given a bill for 3 years of electricity from my landlady after she forgot about it... nightmare!6k in 2012: £4200.00/£6000.00
6k in 2013: £8209.62/£6000.00
7k in 2014: £5900/£70000 -
Never too late to join.....think the number of people taking part is decreasing!! Either that or there's a fair few just gone quiet and forgotten about updating how they are getting on! Extra income coming in end of this week - £240!! Have an aim, start of June to end of 2013 - make £2,500 in cash form and still have the whole lot at end of year! Won't be including it in the total for this challenge but I might add it in come December! Got to make it first!:eek:Living frugally at 24

Morning All, haven't updated for ages as I had to work out how much I have left after buying my car and booking a holiday. I have around £1000 left and would like to aim for a new target of £14k by the end of the year.
SF can I reset my target to £14K please and put my current total at £1000? How do I go about doing this on the update form?0 -
£90 interest recieved from a bond maturing today, plus £20 other income, so June is off to a good start for me. In the last month of my current job, so doing lots of overtime to train my replacement, which should mean that I can add £500 to my savings this month, which I will be delighted with. Target will be achieved by August if all goes to plan

Hi, if you do online banking, you can cancel it yourself immediately.
We all fall prey to the gym scenario. Been there and wore the T-Shirt. It is always so full before and after work.

I may not achieve this but it is worth aiming for - life may get in the way though. That said, last year I paid off my mortgage so I have no outgoings on rent or mortgage. We have two wages coming in and live well below our means (normally - new car aside!!). The majority of my wage is surplus to our monthly requirements so we (me and OH) have roughly £2k per month to put towards savings, hence I think my target is a fair target as long as I don't go all spendthrift again! I am setting this target to encourage me to save rather than spend it.0 -

Enjoy your eve,
Were you ever a member of the Reebok sports club? Looks amazing and opposite my future office, but just seen the membership cost :eek:Save 12K in 2013, #203.

Ahh, so yesterday I went to the car dealership to see how much I would get if I sold my car back to them... depreciation is not fun!! So today I have to make a decision...get rid of my car or not... Some background: i work abroad for most of the year (currently I am abroad). I feel that if I get rid of the car it will make me view this phase of life as more temporary and thus increase my motivation and ability to save so I can move home, buy a house, and pay for a couple of years to go back to university...I also only use the car once or twice a week, and that is to go shopping (so perhaps a potential double whammy of saving). This really is a no brainer, its just that this was my dream car-_-; I just hope I won't regret my decision!!! I guess I should just keep reading blogs about how car payments rob your future!!I'm trying to remember to pay my future self first!0

I've done a few sums this morning, seems I'm £1798 behind my yearly target. I make most of my money in summer with students but it won't cover all of that. Wracking my brain as to how I can earn the extra and got me thinking, everyone care to share how they make any extra income?
Mine are;
-students(4 at a time),
-bingo offers via cashback sites,
-glitches online/instore and sell the items,
-coupons for items/food to sell at profit
-wombling receipts to decrease food bill(Asda APG)
-eBay,
-facebook selling,
-car boot sales,
-competitions,
-product reviews,
-surveys
-mystery shopping£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0
