Nothing saved as of yet for May, but getting paid next week so can hopefully add £250 to my savings next week, taking me over the £1k half way mark
.
Found out yesterday that I secured a full time job/sponsored university place on a big four audit firm's school leaver programmestarting in August. It may prevent me from hitting my 2K savings target for the year, as getting a flat in London, buying food, transport etc isn't going to be cheap. Happy days all the same

Thanks. I had planned on doing the traditional uni route, but this way I get great work experience, a virtually guaranteed well-paid job once qualified and no student debt

Still have my end of the month bit to add before I update the form. Hoping to add around £1600 on pay day which is May 30th.

Payday yesterday so £480 into mine and OHs ISAs and £250 into savings.
I've also put £300 left over from last month into the savings and our ISA interest was paid which was another £69.48 over the 2 ISAs (I didn't fill them last year!)

£200 saved for May and it was payday on Friday. Such an expensive month coming up for June but am pleased with £200. Need to save more in the upcoming months to reach my target.
Good luck everyone.

Wow it's my 1st month of actually putting money into savings rather than debt and it feels good
I couldn't save as much as I'd like as I have 1 wedding, 2 birthdays and an anniversary to pay out for this month but something is better than nothing right?
So I figured I'd start topping up my holiday fund 1st as it has to be paid at the end of June and I want to get as much as I can together beforehand.
I have managed to put some into the other savings too just for once in my life to have a buffer more than anything, which now I've remembered my car insurance is due this month may be a life saver.
So after all that I have £400 in my normal savings and £600 in the holiday pot.
Thinking about seeing it all disappear again is a bit of a kick in the teethSave £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

Just £425 added this month due to an early holiday. Will pull out all the stops for the last half to hit the target. 90% certain I can do it"Chuck Norris can remain solvent for longer than the markets can remain irrational"0

I spent loads this weekend - £1200. Got a new bike (but that's paid under the Cycle to Work scheme, so I won't miss £30pm) and a new chest of drawers/bedside tables that were 60% reduced and are lovely.
I feel a bit like a an alcoholic must feel when they fall off the wagon and have a drink. I want to carry on spending, but know I must pull in the reins again and get back on track. And stop mixing my metaphors!Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:
