    Hi all.
Unfortuantly I'm going to have to pull out of this years savings. I've only managed to save a small amount so far and am constantly having to dip into it. And I've just been given a large bill which is going to pretty much wipe the entire lot. I will continue reading all your savings with great envy :-)) and hopefully pop back on next year when I'm in a better financial potition. Good luck all x

Dipped into the savings to pay decorater, plumber and all materials! House is looking lovely though! So knocked down to £3,250ish, payday this Friday should be about £1,400 net for the fortnight, and a freelance job on Saturday for £180. Of that £1,580, £800 is spoken for so £780 left to save will put me back up over £4,000 with a pay at end of may (£1,400 ish again) to be saved minus next months mortgage and bill expenses at £600 puts me at £4,800 forecast end of may, plus and additional freelance work payments, that shouldn't really pick up till next month though.

;)Hi Saver88! Please don't go! A lot of us save something and then have to dip into it. It never ends does it - save a bit, have to pay a bill, start saving again. It is still only May...plenty of time to save up again!

I am just about hanging on, I thought I was going to have to dip into my savings but I think I will be able to get through after some rejigging the budget. I won't be able to really make progress again until July but some regular saving will continue. Good luck everyone.

Just caught up on this thread as I have been away from this website lately, but everyone is doing so well!

Well done to Allie, that's fantastic! Hopefully I'll be able to put away another nice sum at the end of this month. I love watching my savings grow each month, it's bringing my dream of buying my first home so much closer each time. Thank you for all being so inspiring :) none of my friends save like I do, so it's nice to know there are like-minded people out there!

Don't give up!! Still try and save something even if it is almost nothing! Even in days when I was considerably less fortunate than I am now I would put a little bit away at the start of the month - even if it was only £20 (fiver a week!). Some months you might sell something on ebay, come into a windfall, get some extra at work and if you are already in that mindset then it will be worth it! Don't give up! Stay with us!

    And good luck!!:T

Thanks canucksfan and stupotstu for the encouragement you've both twisted my arm. I'll stay and try my hardest even if I only save a few hundred, at least it's better then nothing. :)
I'm a stay at home mum so have no wages to save which makes it rather hard. I'm having to sell things or make cut backs which is very difficult when there's not many cutbacks to be had.
Ill keep plodding along, hopefully I'll get £500 before Xmas. If not, at least I tried :o

Today I hit my 25% target for this year, my target is 10k but I'm down for 12k so anything else over 10 is a bonus. So chuffed, quarter of the way there!
