I think your user name contributed to an image I got of housewife in a bright coloured pinny on a noddy scooter - with shopping stowed at the back and spilling out into the road at 5 mph!
I'm sure it really isn't like that. :)

And even if it was - if it helps to achieve your savings goal, who cares.

I've just opened a First Direct Regular Savings account but can anyone confirm that first month deposit is between £25-£300 and the next month the maximum deposit increases by £300 to £600? Got a cracking headache today and can't seem to think straight!

I opened this Regular Saver Account as well but I was under the impression that the max deposit you can make each month is £300. Its actually one of the better deals around at the moment.

    Hello guys,

I joined at the start of the year and kind of disappeared. Mostly due to having a more busy social life and well... not remembering my password ha ha.

My "savings" is still at £1000, but I have an additional just-under-£5k amassed for learning to drive/insurance/car/stuff like that. I'm focusing on my savings pot again now. I'm going to set up one of those regular saver ISAs from Nottingham BS, I'm hoping it's going to encourage/force me to save.

You guys are so impressive with your motivation. : )

Lol! having bragged about my super scooter idea, I whizzed round to a mates house on it at the weekend to give it a go and was so kn*ckered when I got home and got a blood blister under my bunion I have now wisely decided against it... Back into the garage it goes and I will walk :/

Well I thought April was going to be a complete write-off given that I spent £330 on a new laptop and £220 on a bed!

But... I somehow have loads of money in my current account. Going away with work helps a lot as I haven't paid for food or petrol in 11 days, but I still need to be cautious with MOT and car insurance coming up. I put £1k aside for that so have still managed to put away £500 for April.

I think I'm going to reach my target this year which is brilliant!

A measly £481.18 for April for me! But I am owed over £100 from work and about the same from Her Majesty's, they both should be coming in during May. It would still make it a lower than average month but not so tragic!

Oh well, any saving is better than none.

Tucked away £500 as planned and an extra £46 that turned up unexpectedly today, so £708 so far this month now - best pushed quickly into savings before it gets spent on other things!

Trying to sell a couple of underused bicycles now the weather has turned nice (I don't really need 4 :D ) which will also go into savings, although no serious interest yet - will give it another couple of days then they'll go the dreaded 'bay along with a large tent and assorted other odds'n'ends we want to get rid of - big clearout going on :)
