Havevn't been on for a while and just been catching up with the posts and news. Congrats to all the people with tiny feet coming their way
I managed to save £77.89 (well, it was savings I didn't know I had and now added to my pot!)
But.....I'm thinking about putting my house on the market which may make a wee negative dent in the balance. I need nearly £400 just to get it on the market but it feels like a good time. I've updated my signature meantime thoughSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
dont know what i did wrong in March but i used the quick update and no figure as yet for march.
i suppose i must have hit a wrong key.
After all, everyone can miss something. I've checked on the form and your entry isn't there - so maybe you did hit the wrong key?
Just a thought.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hello everyone! You're all doing so well
I didn't update at the end of March (was so busy), so I've just done my end of April total. I have £67,530 saved - a total of £3,259 in March and April! I've been super disciplined the last 2 months - no unnecessary spending at all - and it's really paid off.
I'm on track to exceed my £13,000 target
Well done to everyone, keep up the good work!
Off to update my sig...
Thanks everyone for the congratulations. I really appreciate it. I have been scrimping hard to get there. Still hoping to get to £24K by the end of the year.
Tara747 I loved your post. It must be a great feeling to have savings like that. I love your goal of getting to £75k by Dec 2013. I have a similar goal of getting to £100k within the next 4 - 5 years. I do however want to do a couple of things to my house in the meantime; the bathroom and kitchen both need done and this will eat into the amount I can save. But for this year everything is on hold until I get to my £24k.0 -

Ha Allie, we both have the same target! I want £100 grand-plus by 2017 when I hope to retire early, but I've also stuff I want to do round the house, particularly my kitchen. There's only my single salary so I have to balance spending and saving; spending is fine - squandering is not!
I think of all the money I've wasted over the years though. I wish I'd been cannier earlier like so many of you here. Well done everyone; however much we are managing to save, we're all going in the right direction together.

Oh, fab to hear that Wentthedaywell? We can cheer each other on along the way!! Best of luck with your target. I often look back and wonder what I have done with my money over the years and wish I had been far more sensible. At least I am on track now. I am hoping that this thread runs again for many years to come as I find being part of this challenge very motivating.0 -
This month is looking rather lean on the savings front as i'm remortgaging to a cheap 5-year fixed and want to pay the fees up-front rather than roll them up in the mortgage. Long-term it all makes sense, and will save me more than £4k in the three years the existing mortgage had to run and chops four years off the term too, but short term it means that there's not much cash for anything else this month
Dropped £162 that didn't get spent last month into my emergency fund to top it up and there will be £500 going in to the ISA when I get paid on tuesday, but that may be it for the month. Not dreadful, but drops me a bit behind target.0 -
