FYI - most 'traditions' were invented by De Beers and marketing men.. (see Engagement rings as a good example)

You want the best present? Offer to do the night-feeds for a week after the birth

    What, with my tits?

Congratulations to the three of you. An Eternity ring, and maybe a spa weekend away in a month's time (After a month of screaming, she'll be climbing the walls for a nights sleep!)

My husband gave me a lovely gold watch after the birth of our first child. She is soon to be 16, and I am giving it to her as a personal gift from me to her on her birthday.

I very much appreciated the gift, but more so his help doing the night time feeds, every little does help, and if the missus' is happy everyone is happy, as my dad says:D
