That's not an option for most dads though... OH could offer all he wanted, he was never going to breastfeed!
And we shared nappies rather equally ( even after a present!!!!!)I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -

No chance of expressing with a pump? I've given every morning bottle to our 2 boys... that's currently racking up 3 1/2 years of early wake-ups!
My wife knows she'll get an eternity ring when we are financially stable enough that I can splosh a few grand on worthless shiny compressed carbon stones0 -

Expressing for a first born before bread feeding is well established is very tricky. Plus it requires a lot of kit.... and just hearing my new-born cry would encourage milk let down and make me very uncomfortable....I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -

Most women put on some weight during pregnancy. Would you buy a ring the same size as the wedding ring which might not fit for some months or buy a larger size and have it reduced later on?0

That's something I've never even thought of really to be honest! But you are very sweet for thinking of doing something like this, I will have to hint at my husband when the time comes lol!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0

A peice of heirloom jewellery is the tradition - but you can interpret this as you like!
in some families there is a specific item of jewellery to be handed down........in other families a new item is bought.
You sound lovely to be thinking about this now! my OH didnt buy me anything after any of our three children. When I commented that all the new mums on the ward had had flowers etc, he said (and these words are engraved on my memory, lol) 'Why? it isnt your birthday?'0 -
Hi Guys,
After some help. My wife and I are expecting our first baby at the end of March which we are very excited about.
I want to buy my wife something after she has had bump, and I think I remember reading somewhere that is is tradition to get something specific??... I think it could have been an eternity ring but I am not sure.
Can someone tell me if there is something?.. Im thinking Jewellery, although she already has an eternity ring!
thanks
Mr P
Just don't do what my ex did: he left me in the hospital to go shopping, taking my sister with him. I hoped for something tasteful and sparkly, I got a massive teddy (for me, not the child!). Gutted didn't describe it.If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...0
