Oh hun - how easy would it be to find another reliable lodger?

  • Oh hun, sorry to read your news. Hope that you are able to find another lodger quickly.
  • well i looked online last night and there arent that many people looking at the moment.

i have woken up in a less panicy state than last night.

the lodger is paid up until Jan 5th which is when i he is moving out.

OHs mum is giving him £2k to get a van and to put towards insurance. This SHOULD (not a definate by any stretch but a should) mean that he will be able to get more work in the new year. As his work has been very shakey all year, i never budget for his wage as its never guarenteed. If the new year brings work for him, and he's able to put £300 p/m into the house then this would leave us in the situation we are in at the moment which is fine and manageable.

If he doesnt get any work then in the new year we can look for a lodger properly when said lodger has moved out & i am able to clean his room out and make it look fresh and nice again.

    sound like a plan?

  • sounds like a good plan hun. Keeping everything crossed that your OH gets some work in. x
  • thanks lovelies :)

trying to think of it as a positive. everything happens for a reason and at the moment we'd of happily plodded along with a lodger who is a bit annoying sometimes and is pretty useless. This has happened so we can have a kick start to 2013...live as a proper married couple rather than a married couple +1.

have to stay postive. it will mean that my debt free date will be put back a couple of months at the moment but im not going to miss payments or anything like that so will still be plodding along.
