Hi there,
Not a very frequent poster but been on the forum for awhile.
I had my LMB & decided enough is enough.
I have quite a bit of debt (see signature) but the debt I amfocussing on is
Very: £0
Barclay card: 2688
Virgin : 2558
I’ve put Very on because I only paid it off today and wantedto show that I am doing something J I am not ignoring my car & loan…butthey both go straight out my bank& the loan ends in January (extra £100 per month to ccs) and the Car is fixed amount so wont be coming down and id rather put my money to the creditcards)
So who am i? well I live with my husband & lodger in ahouse that I own with my ex. I am not looking at the mortgage or my house situation because
a) we’re in negative equity
b) he’s moved on & we’re still very good friends
c) I pay less on my mortgage than I would on rent.
My husband is a self employed tiler who is out of work. he gets no benefits. He’s had the odd job recently which is keeping his dds afloat but other than that he has no income and no debt and all the household bills & food come out of my wages& the rent from the lodger.
This is a personal mission not a household missions as its my money and more importantly my debt.
We already live to a low budget at the moment but my aim is to STOP with all the extra food shops. This includes the extra £3 or whatever on my lunch. I take my own lunch so I should stop benig greedy &frivolous. I am going to aim to pay a little bit off my debt every few days even just the odd pound as I can see that really does make a difference.
So I am going to use my diary to report on any changes I make and to keep my self motivated J

Hubs is waiting to hear back about an interview and is taking his driving test today & if he passes that it could open up more work ,so that would help massively. i do struggle to keep everything going and keep positive all the time but im sure everything will work out ok in the endFacing up to things - nov 2012 total 9334.95

Next month i will be able to reduce my mobile contract down a bit so that will help and i have alreayd cancelled my gym membership.
I am not worrying abotu christmas as i am not buying any christmas presents but i did buy a groupon today for a bunch of flowers to send my mum. £30 flowers...£14 & i had £6 credit & got cashback via Quidco so not too bad.Facing up to things - nov 2012 total 9334.95

Well done to your DH :j.
I know what you mean about always being the one who has to be positive and keep everything going. That's me to a T. They may even put that on my headstone :rotfl:! Don't be afraid to let it all out on here though, it's very cathartic!
Good luck on your journey.

So as yesterday was payday, my normal mentality is "oooh i've been paid lets buy pretty things"...but instead.. i turned the laptop off and watched a film with Hubs. no shopping was done which is quite an achievement
put some change from my purse & my car and desk into my money pot so any milk or bread for the house can come out of that so i havent got the temptation to use my card.
and brought in my tin of beans & 2 slices of bread for lunch so today will be a NSD.
Have a nice dayFacing up to things - nov 2012 total 9334.95
