    Happy New Year.

Here i am still sloggin away. i dont do much money saving stuff really as its now all just a way of life. Thats a good thing i know, but its also not very exciting to write about is it?

But, i have hit the £4k bracket! HURRAH last year i paid off £1855.28. that to me is a HUGE amount.

this past year has been really hard. i am still fighting to get my money back from the gardener. I am now filing a warrent of execution against him.

and we do loads as a family. We have just taken out national trust membership for the year, but as we are only on the 5th & visited 2 national trust places this weekend gone alone, i think it well worth it for us.

i knwo i should have probably paid a lot more off my debt and then I would have been able to manage my debt free date of 8/3/16 (30th) but the fact my husband took a drop in income from July and the fact that i hardly go out with any friends any more so put a lto fo effort into making my family life as full as possible, i think the extra year is ok & worth it. im still chipping away and the main thing is it isnt going up.

i know its all excuses but hey...least i am a) still on the right track...just not as far down the road. b) have an amaizng family and such a rich life. c) not being reckless & anding to the debt.

all in all 2015 will be a better year. just think i f i can tell you this time next year im in the £2k bracket ill be a very happy bunny :)

Hi Lurvlylurker, you sound like your doing amazing paying off so much in a year. As you say, it's more important that you have a happy home life then debt free a year earlier.

Unfortunately our debt has increased a lot as we seem to be struggling more with two kids and not as much of a pay increase for my hubby

    here ia m 6months in.
debt now standing at £3888!!!1 ER HELLLO THATS £1162 paid off so far this year & we are only half way through. this was helped by my bonus in April which, i was very sensible and put all of it on my credit card. how money saving and boring is that!!!

so if i pay £204 a month off for the next 19months...i am debt free. thats a lot less scary that when i started it owuld have been like £400 odd a month.

i dont keep up on here very often but my spreadsheet is as busy as ever :)
