2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.
2017. Lets start this again shall we?

    Debt 1 Cleared 2/1/17 £480 Gone forever :j
    Debt 2 100/598
  • Thanks Aamberle. yes felt great :) started my debt free journey with 5 creditors now only 2 :)

this week has been a quiet one for hubs work wise so very glad he has a private job to top up this weeks wages.

im off to do a big shop tonight at al*i. we've managed to clear down alot of our cupboards so this will be our 2 monthly BIG shop. not done one at al*i yet so (sadly) i am looking forward to it.

baby wise, had tummy ache the past couple of days and felt nauseous all week. no nausea today but def dont feel my self. have been ridiculously tired but again dont feel tired today.

This weekend i'm going out clubbing (obvs not drinking) if i can stay awake. would be such a shame to miss it because it is a new night starting in my town so needs all the support it can and its a massive DJ who i really like. before you all go mummy army on me, i'll be stood near the back away from any people who could bash me and as i'm only 7weeks & 3 days...not as if my belly sticks out any more than my normal chubbyness :) (yes i feel the need to justify as i have had comments)

ANYHOO, meant to get more snow tonight (booo), my plan for the weekend is...Stay up as late tonight as possible....sleep in late tomorrow. mya uty is coming round for a cuppa in the morning, a friend in the afternoon so get as much cleaning done as i can. then a nap. then ready to get down into town.

Sunday is alll about chilling with hubs.

so moneywise my weekend will be pretty cheap. bought my ticket last year, im driving into town. and i'll obvsiously be on soft drinks so £15 i reckon will be fine :)

Hope you all have a great day & stay safe in the snow! x

Glad you are feeling a little better today :). Good luck with the big Al#di shop. Not sure you will get everything you need, but I find it good to start there and then top up elsewhere with the things they don't have.

Sounds like you have a fun weekend ahead of you, you will probably find you will turn into a taxi driver for the next 8 months. Thats what always happenned to me ;).

Hope you get what you want done today, take it steady xx
  • hi everyone.

aldi shop went well. had pretty much everything i wanted except fresh chilli and they had run out rather than didnt sell. Tried their cat food but was wary as usually my big cat doesnt like cheap supermarket own brand cat food. both big & little cat seem to be liking it so thats a hit.

Saturday, Hubs went to work & then with those wages he took me out for dinner & then we went to the club night we were going to & he paid for everything. clearly feeling generous. but all good as i didnt spend a penny all weekend :)

i have £35 left til wednesday after getting petrol on friday night & a specially made valentines card for hubs.

Also, on Thursday i treated my self to some nice smellies for nice bath times. i know it seems like a waste of money, but i cant drink, a lot of food is making feel dreadful...and if not i am trying to still eat healthily so not to just become massive. and i am too tired to do alot of things in the week so i thought may as well make bath time a nice treat.

so, heres the challenge... £35 til thursday and then i have cracked it. that'll be my 3rd month ending in the black, including 2 4 week months. so i will feel as if i am officially living with in my means and too a budget. i have not spent on my credit card since starting my diary so that is also an achievement.

I feel positve today which is good for a Monday morning when i could sleep for a week! :)

hope you all have a great day & that you all had a nice weekend :) x

£35 till Thursday. You can do it.....I certainly would if it meant seeing the back of my overdraft :j. It must feel fantastic, well done hun.

I don't blame you for buying some nice bath stuff. Like you said, its the only pleasure you can get at the moment. Doubt it was that expensive and it does last quite some time does'nt it.

I must find something cheap to treat myself soon.
Hubby gets his tobacco & skittles nights out. But I have squeezed the budget so tight, I haven't allowed ANYTHING for me.
That is ok in the short-term, but its going to take nearly two years to be debt free and thats a long time without a treat .

Not oversure what my treat would be though?? Will have to have a think.

Have a great day, we are all sounding so positive so far on this mornings diaries. Lets hope it lasts :)

    Thanks SS & Purple

SS can you have a pamper night when hubs is at skittles. you shoudl def treat your self to something. Hubs has bought me a magazine yesterday which i would never buy as i think that is a waste of money but i did very much appreciate.

NSD for me today so fingers crossed can do it. gonna put £20 petrol in my car tomorrow. That'll last until Thursday. don't think there's anything else i need to buy. Then Thursday can transfer my money back into my account from payday :) Woo!

  • people always have an opinion dont they Rising.

for example, hubs and i are obviously worried about money regarding the baby. but at the same time we dont want the baby to miss out on something it might need. as neither of us are supersticious, the whole 'its too early to buy' thing isnt working for us as when we see a bargain, we've bought it. yesterday on a fb seller page, a brand new travel system came up (carseat pram pushchair all interchangeable) should be over £200 brand new & i got it or £130. its fab. i knew we'd be buying a brand new carseat but also knew that we'd end up buying a second hand pushchair...but now, because im not supsersticious and i've managed to save up a little bit of savings, we were able to get something we wouldnt of been able to afford. We already have a cot (99p on bay of E), baby monitors (£11.50 again bay of e) and started buying unisex clothes. Think this is the only way we're gonna be able to have nice things for babywith out crippling ourselves finacially.

hope you are all ok :)
